Lynn ran a tight ship, was an amazing host and couldn't have looked after us better. I didn't know what to expect and it was a truly unique experience! Tawenda our guide was extremely knowledgeable on all things Zimbabwe and we really enjoyed his company. Would love to return - it was unusual to meet a fellow scouser in the... More

Don't miss a visit to Big Cave Camp if you are planning a trip to Zimbabwe. In the midst of the Matapos, the lodge boasts a spectacular setting and unique views. The entire area is something special in terms of surrounds and is not your regular safari experience. Trees, boulders, hills, rocky outcrops and a massive population of raptors all... More

Big cave Camp is an amazing place. Set in the huge rocks of Matopos National park, this lodge offers a very unique experience. I stayed in the Ntwane room - which has the most amazing view of sunrise over the rocks and of rock dassies sunning themselves in the early morning and evening. Lynn and all staff are friendly and... We were promoted to ithe Bridal Chalet by Lynne, despite our 40 years together, and our stay was a honeymoon of a holiday. We chose Big Cave for its location as being close to the ancient San art in the nearby caves and were surprised to fine that wildlife was also abundant. Our guide, aptly named Shepherd, took care that... More

A superbly beautiful site in the Matopos. Friendly efficient staff who cater for your every request. Fabulous sunset on Lightening Rock and bush breakfast never to be forgotten. A pristine collection of rock paintings that are easily accessed on a morning guided walk. Splash in the rock pool to cool off at the end of a warm day. End off... More

A fine camp site, where we took the opportunity to upgrade our tent to a hut with 2 single beds for $11 pp/pn. Clean toilets and showers, and a funny little bar with reasonable prices. A great pit, and supplied wood, to build a huge, warm fire. The biggest of the trip.

Glad you enjoyed your stay in our new Ndebele huts! They have only just been completed and will be doing additional decorating of the huts too. Possibly will also add toilet facilities there too. Dave More
