A beautiful, natural camp site set in a remote national park in Zim, this was my favourite camping experience during our overland adventure. Despite the rainy weather we loved our two nights spent here. This camp gives you a true taste of history and wildlife and our Rhino experience was the most up close and personal experiences I've ever had... More

Our three day/two night stay here was wonderful. When we arrived it actually felt like we had landed on another planet. it would be very difficult to describe the amazing rock formations that Matobo Hills is known for--it was like nothing else on earth that our group of four had ever seen. Starting with the fact that only a four... More

Breathtaking scenery and nostalgic ambience Bed should be comfortable and dramatic More appropriate furniture in the balcony More information to clients about what they are paying for, because we had understood that we had paid for the drinks, game drives etc only to be confronted with a big bill before leaving. Wonderful hosting, especially at meal times

Hi Dr Hatendi. We are sorry that you feel we were not good value for money. I am surprised that you did not know what to pay for, as I have all the correspondence from my reservation office to yourself, which clearly states that you were on a Zim special. This was a dinner bed and breakfast rate, and states... More

We spent 3 great nights at Big Cave. We were met on arrival with massive smiles and delicious welcome drinks. The rooms were comfortable and the food delicious. The guides were great and knowledgeable about the area. Sundowners were a treat watching the full moon rise over the granite rocks. I would love to go back!

Lynn ran a tight ship, was an amazing host and couldn't have looked after us better. I didn't know what to expect and it was a truly unique experience! Tawenda our guide was extremely knowledgeable on all things Zimbabwe and we really enjoyed his company. Would love to return - it was unusual to meet a fellow scouser in the... More

Hi Rhonda. Thanks very much for your review, and glad you enjoyed yourself. Really appreciate your input as well. We made the windows based on what they do in the traditional huts, but if need be can make them bigger. So will definitely keep that in mind! Best Dave More

Don't miss a visit to Big Cave Camp if you are planning a trip to Zimbabwe. In the midst of the Matapos, the lodge boasts a spectacular setting and unique views. The entire area is something special in terms of surrounds and is not your regular safari experience. Trees, boulders, hills, rocky outcrops and a massive population of raptors all... More

Big cave Camp is an amazing place. Set in the huge rocks of Matopos National park, this lodge offers a very unique experience. I stayed in the Ntwane room - which has the most amazing view of sunrise over the rocks and of rock dassies sunning themselves in the early morning and evening. Lynn and all staff are friendly and...
