What an amazing experience. First trip to Africa, first camp. A little unsure at first, but not a worry. Your own tent, a full size bed, toilet, two showers (one inside one outside). No phone, no internet, no cable. Truly elegant setting, except that you are in the middle of nowhere. Catered to from arrival to departure. As to the... More

Charles our guide was very knowledgable and extremely patient. He was a star. The camp is stunning and the staff wonderful providing both comfort and really very good food. We were lucky enough to see lion, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, elephant, caracal, etc, etc and the birdlife was stunning. If you can you really need to go. Fab!!

Dear Roberta H, Thank you for the great feedback, we are delighted and proud to hear that our resident “Macguiver’s” were able to organise a hair-dryer for you, nothing like enjoying life's creature comforts in the middle of the wilderness. As our tents are all Solar powered and the camp is operated by a generator we are unable to supply... More

Loved everything about Little Makalolo. Large, airy, well appointed 'tents'. Plenty of airy 'windows' looking out onto the game park. Delightful wooden walkway to all the areas. A convenient comvenience close to boom, family dining area and bar/library. The loo with the view! So very well looked after by all the staff, led by Eddie the Manager, who came along... More

I didn't know it was still possible to experience Africa like this! The camp itself is lovely, and the tents and accommodation are very comfortable and well equipped considering how remote this camp is. Eddie and his staff made us feel like family, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb - all prepared by chef Innocent and... More

First trip back to Zim for 25 years and introducing my adult children to Africa. This camp is the best way to experience game. We felt like we were family. The accommodation is very comfortable but totally natural and in touch with the wild. The food was excellent and the service professional but highly personal. Thanks to Bee for running... More

Thank you LiliasBell for your fabulous review, we are delighted that after 25 years Africa was still able to give you so many great memories and you were then able to share these with your children. You could not have chosen a better time to introduce your children to the grandeur that is Africa. Little Makalolo animal sightings were of... More

This is a lovely little camp. The tents are gorgeous. The location is great, you can watch the elephants and giraffe come to the watering hole (and the lions!) and the hide is excellent. Food is good, staff are fabulous. Great experience - hard to beat. We would go back.

This was a return trip to Little Mak, and what a great return!! The camp is beautifully and newly refurbished, with wooden walkways between the tents and extended at the main area and pool, which is really a great improvement. The ambiance of this camp is magnificent! Rooms are cosy and large, which together with the wooden walkways was a... More

Just finished a stay here and LOVED it. The place is amazing and the tents are pure luxury in the bush. Ask for tent number 6, it is located closest to the watering hole and has the best views. The staff was amazing, especially our guide Charles. The food was wonderful and the animal sightings were a plenty. You can't... More

Dear Jennifer335, Thank you for your magnificent review, we are so glad to see that you enjoyed your time with us so much. Hwange’s elephant presence has magnified too as the dry season digs its claws into our parched soils, enticing more and more of these noble and terrestrial wonders to our water’s edge. Their intelligence can only inspire us... More

We were here in late July and had our wedding at this camp. AMAZING!
