I booked at Sangho Privilege Tataouine from 21 March 2014 via their personal agents, TRAVELSCAPE, for 4 nights. I received confirmation etc. Two days before my arrival i received an urgent message that my booking was cancelled. I called to ask why and they said it was because my bank did not accept the credit card and that they would... More

We visited this hotel in March 2014. The hotel is very nice and picturesque. It is bungalow type of hotel with each cabin made of stone and bricks in traditional Tunisian way. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was reasonable. The hotel was our first step towards Sahara desert and we appreciated it very much.

One of the best places in the country.... Tataouine does not really offer too many options but this is like an oasis... Everything can be seen as quite simple but finally there is a touch of good taste around which is worthwhile trying.

we stopped for lunch at this hotel on our way south. I did not see the room,I can they that there is a nice swimming-pool. My review concerns the restaurant: we had a buffet lunch which was really miserable: not a good array of food which was indeed very poor.

Pleasent surprise in the middle if tataouine. Very nice place food was great even better then tunis hotels. We had the further most room so it was quite a difficult walk up and despite some small problems at check in (electricity and phone unplugged initially) everything else was smooth. Again as long as u know what you are getting into... More

In a town like Tataouine you would not have high expectation on accommodations but this hotel gives kind of 'luxury' feeling. Welcome drink, nice pool, bungalow type of rooms, all are geared to a great high-end resort. The room is quite basic, and somewhat worn out but functional. The hotel offers half-board, saving you the time to eat out. Both... More

Although the overall design of this hotel is quite alright, the rooms are not!! After having seen two rooms we decided not to stay. Verybasic rooms with no atmosphere at all. Bathrooms run down and dirty. Recommendation: move on!

This is the most luxurious option you will find in Tataouine. It’s comfortable (although it’s very, very cold in the Winter), most staff are friendly, and rooms are clean. Breakfast is too basic (we not even offered eggs! – although I suspect there are more options in busier seasons).

Aside from the photos we had seen online of our hotel choice, we really had no preconceived notion of what the town Tataouine would be like. (We certainly knew it would not be as “otherworldly” as the planet with a similar name in George Lucas’s Star Wars.) Surprisingly however, upon arrival to the Sangho Privilege compound just outside of town,... More

At the gateway for the desert in a valley bordered by mountains a simple/basic but charming hotel with bungalows that are built like the troglodyte dwelling of the nearby village of Chenini. There is a pool and tennis court. The rooms are very basic with few amenities. The food is OK - buffet style. The service was good. Popular with... More
