The staff here are lovely. The man that ran the shop, the staff in the restaurant, the chap in the Shisha Bar. They were fantastic. They were all chatty funny and lovely. The hotel looked beautiful but it was all let down by the unbearable night we spent in our room. The aircon was not powerful and we were roasting... More

Myself and 5 friends stayed here in late June 2014 as part of the "South of Tunisia" tour by Voyages et Loisirs en Tunisie. We arrived quite late after a camel trek, probably all shedding sand in their lovely foyer, and were sorted into rooms and given keys very efficiently indeed. Unfortunately it was too dark for us to see... More

We stayed here a while ago as part of an overnight trip to the Sahara Desert and Berber community from Hammamet in the North of Tunisia. We were one of the only groups staying at the hotel at that time so it had a bit of a deserted feel to it. That said it seemed quite well appointed and clean... More

Stopped here for one night of a 2 day trip from the mouradi el menzah. Expected an d were told to expect the same standard hotel. I think not. In the middle of nowhere, pretty poor service and an average room. We asked for a bath plug as our bath didnt have one. It never arrived. Unrelated to the hotel... More

If a Sahara desert tour is in your future, you may wind up here - against your will - and with no other choice of a place to stay. In which case, you'll have to grit your teeth and get through it the best you can. But, if you're traveling to Douz, and can choose your own hotel, look elsewhere.... More

I stayed one night during Sahara trip. When we made check-in, we couldn't go out from hotel anymore, for security reason, which i didn't understand. Hotel is nice, but rooms look very old (at least my room). Decoration is soooo old! My room didnt have balcony and window was so small. View to nowhere. Wifi in lobby, 8 dinar -... More

Rooms were mediocre - Very Dated. A mix of locals and tourists. You could tell that the locals were impressed with the hotel - and the tours groups weren't. The food was limited in scope and quality. Not impressed. We saw a show in the oasis that was pretty good.

A great place, a monumental marble hotel just on the edge of desert. Rooms are wide, bathrooms very well maintened, everything works and people are plasant and helpful. You can have fantastic massages (suggested, 30 Dinars, full body). Food is excellent and you can even drink good wine. Where can you have something like this for less than 50 bucks... More

This is really a 3-star hotel masquerading as a 5-star in a kind of tourists enclave on the outskirts of Douz. It was perfectly comfortable and the air conditioning was a godsend. Like many of these hotels the reception is magnificent but the décor in the rooms is tired and the food very average. We had views from our room... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour around Tunisia. Bedroom basic and tatty including ripped sheets and badly stained carpets. Particularly poorly set up automatic lights on stairs and corridors which were positively dangerous. Expensive WiFi and room safe. Breakfast and dinner were poor and cold.
