This was slightly over our budget but very glad we decided to book it and even stretched to an extra night. From the very first greeting and introduction by Chiara until we were seen onto the ferry to leave the island we had a great experience. The location is superb and really quiet compared to some others. The lodge has... More

We ended up walking to the hotel from the harbour because we didn't know there was a pick up service. Not communicated in emails with the hotel. It wasn't a long walk. But when we got to the hotel we were greeted with a cool sweet drink and nothing but helpfulness and information. Our first impression of our room was... More

We have just returned from a wonderful island hopping fortnight in the Seychelles, during which we spent 4 nights at the Lodge in beach chalet no. 9. This was the best part of our trip, and although La Digue Island Lodge was officially the lowest graded of our 4 hotels, it was the most memorable for all the right reasons.... More

We took a flight from Mahe to Praslin, and then a ferry boat to La Digue. The hotel is approximately a ten minute walk from the jetty, and is located on either side of the island's only road. Reception was quick and efficient, and were then shown to our 'A' frame chalet in the carefully tendered tropical gardens. The room... More

The location is not bad, but the opportunity to swim in the sea is rather poor, due to low water and coral inside the reef. The room, or our cottage, badly needed to refurbish the interior and exterior. And that also applies to the rest of the property in general. Everyone we met from the hotel was pleasant and helpful,... More

We spent five nights at La Digue Island Lodge late January. While initially concerned about the possibility of rain, we had glorious sunshine for the majority of our stay with early morning rain on our day of departure. We stayed in a Little Village room, which is furthest from reception. This was no disadvantage as the stroll through the lush... More

Even though we stayed at Gregoire´s rooms (the "cheapest" rooms) it was all very confortable. Gregoire´s rooms is located above the main supermarket on the island. Very clean and big rooms, no complaints at all. We also included breakfast wich was very nice and was a most welcomed start of the day with lots to choose from. You could say... More

Two years ago on my last visit to the Island Lodge it was definitely in decline, the buildings were looking shabby and the staff were dispirited, the restaurant echoed that by serving ordinary food at prices higher than justified. Today I met a friend there for lunch on the pool terrace and there is change happening. The terrace has been... More

This place is really great. The houses are really really nice. Amazingly build. It is near the beach and there is even a bike hire shop around the corner. On La Digue everything is easily done and visted by bike

This hotel has its public area comprising restaurant, outside seating , bar and pool area, right on the beach. It is an an amazing setting especially since it faces west for memorabel sundowners in the warm shallow water. Breakfast can be eaten under palm trees sheltered from the early morning sun while looking over the calm sea towards Praslin Island.... More
