The grounds are beautiful. The hotel is quiet. The staff is friendly. Wifi is free and fantastic. And they're dog friendly, which is hard to find in the area. Rooms are not in the mansion itself, but in buildings added on later. Would stay here again!

This is a nice mansion that was once probably very luxurious. However, the majority of rooms are in '70s-looking extension wing without any period details, dated looking and very far from the main building with many stairs and hallways. The bathrooms are quite nice but the rooms and hallways feel old and dated. Breakfast was very nice and with excellent... More

I booked this hotel for the labor day long weekend for my husband and I about a month ago. I didn't revisit the reviews until a week before visiting and after reading I nearly cancelled. I'm SO, SO glad that I didn't. We paid $240/nt for our room for three nights. It was worth every penny. This hotel is not... More

This hotel is totally dissapointing . It does have some nice pictures on the internet and attractive name " mantion " but it will leave you with a bad feeling of wasted money. It is sooooo dirty and neglected . The showers are from 100 years ago and you have to wait few minutes until you have water running to... More

Had stayed at this property several times about eight years ago for work functions and enjoyed it then. Stayed this past weekend for a wedding and was for the most part was not at all disappointed. The property is gorgeous and the view coming up the driveway is beautiful, huge grand old mansion the likes of which you just don't... More

This hotel did not meet our expectations. From a distance, the hotel appears very grand. As you approach the property, though, you begin to notice the neglect: chipped paint, water stains, ripped carpets. I'm sure this property was impressive 30 years old, but it seems as though nothing has been done to maintain the hotel in decades. The rooms are... More

As you drive up to the Mansion the façade is impressive, beautiful columns and gardens. makes you expect a room with some old flavor and elegance. Not so much. The rooms are located in "newer" buildings in the back of the mansion. It a bit disappointing that they did not make an effort to match the grand architecture of the... More

The accommodations are definitely subpar, considering the price. They also have a weird policy that people booking weddings or other celebratory events should bear in mind, namely, they don't allow liquor to be served anywhere on the premises except in the bar and restaurant--and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt about the restaurant. I don't actually know that... More

Stayed in this hotel for 2 days for a wedding. The overall maintenance of the hotel is poor. Needs new doors, painting and carpeting on entire property. All bedrooms need a serious updating. There are no refrigerators and rooms smell old and with mildew. No shower caps and additional amenities are available. The concierge staff needs some training to improve... More

Most all of the staff were absolutely excellent. They were friendly, accommodating, funny, and super helpful. The food options were delicious. I loved the scrambled eggs/omelet to order station. The grounds were immaculate. The rooms were just okay. The beds were slightly hard, but not so hard i couldn't sleep well. The layout is a little funky and depending on... More
