Geneva on the Lake Hotel on Lake Seneca in New York is one of the most amazing small hotels we have visited and enjoyed. We booked 3 days. Once we were there and started to relax in its setting and beauty, we knew we had to extend our visit. We were able to reserve one more night moving to another... More

How does one average a fabulous, historic building with great views and gardens with old, tired furnishings, musty carpet & poor service? Still, I don't doubt that it is the best hotel in the area, especially when the competition is the likes of a Hampton Inn & a Microtel. I spent a week here in a room (described as a... More

Awesome hotel with great views. Rooms or more likely suites are beautifully decorated.makes you fell like home. Beautiful views of the lake. Nice pool. Great if visiting HWS colleges. Very good value for the money.

This was a most comfortable hotel whose suites are quiet, made up of large rooms, comfortable beds, great seating accommodations, and very good kitchen appliances for cooking in. The staff was very gracious in providing us with suggestions for local activities and sites. The grounds are beautiful with options for badminton, croquet, and bocce or just sitting in quietly .... First let me start by saying I am a horrible hotel guest, my standards are extremely high and I normally don't settle in until I am in my third room. However, if I am in a remote area and I am staying at a Holiday Inn Express for $129, my expectations are low and are usually exceeded. The issue comes... More

The grounds make you feel like you are staying at an Italian mansion complete with a maze, swimming pool built in 1910, croquet and other lawn sports. The best relaxing place to feel LUXERY in Geneva. Candlelight dinner to music is made special by the most incredible tasting and prepared food. Wish we could have this food quality everywhere.

The house is lovely and the ground is outstanding. The general manager does the gardening himself and probably love it, it shows it. We were given a family suite.... a suite that was probably design as a flat for one person. We were on the third floor without lift! ( so we had to carry our suitcases up and down).... More

We were travelling by bikes across US and were looking for a night in this area.... And we saw this nice building from the street and understood that we have to stop and see. Looks very nice and you understand that it cost a lot. But we asked for a special fare for Russian motorbikers and John was very kind... More

Don't hesitate to stay here as it's a great family owned hotel, right on the lake. The hotel has been on operation for 30+ years and the whole package is excellent. The staff are helpful and very friendly, nothing seems any trouble. We stayed in a junior suite overlooking the gardens and lake which was great value given the space... More

My husband and I had the distinct pleasure of staying overnight at Geneva on the Lake on June 13. Our overnight stay was a "do-over" from a New Year's Day stay that was planned but, due to a family medical emergency, had to be cancelled early. Our "do-over" was a night of pure luxury, relaxation, and pampering. Our accommodations in... More
