After reading all these bad reviews I expected the worst when my teenage son and I stayed overnight on a college visit to Hobart & William Smith. Yes, the halls were a bit shabby and smelly, could use a good cleaning and definitely need to be aired out. But our room was clean, the linens (sheets and towels) were clean... more

A good surprise and value. Visiting friends and enjoying the finger lakes attractions, the motel served the purpose with a comfortable, clean and quiet room. Staff were pleasant and helpful. These are basic accommodations and a good value for the price. The room was spacious and the cable TV had clear reception and a good variety of choices. more

I stayed at Motel 6 with a friend for 2 nights because we were guests at a wedding at Geneva on the Lake. There were not many options for lodging in Geneva this weekend due to the Musselman Triathalon, which is a major event. I religiously use TripAdvisor as a guide before booking anywhere, and was a little wary when... more

My fiance and I were in the area for a friend's wedding. Due to a poker tournament all the local hotels were booked solid. The only two hotels with vacancies were America's Best Inn and Motel 6. From photos online we chose Motel 6 over America's Best Inn and figured it was only for two nights and it was relatively... more

no alarm clock, no hair dryer, no iron/ironing board. This was the only hotel with rooms - the bed was decent - glad it was for one night only more

We were going on a wine trip this past weekend and we all decided to stay at Motel 6 because of price. Okay - this should never be done. No matter how much you want to save on a room in order to spend more on wine purchases, don't go cheap. The nitty gritty. We asked for a queen bed.... more

Overall Rating: 1 out of 5 Stars I would not recommend this property. First of all...do NOT stay in the Finger Lakes region during the first part of October, unless you have to. ALL the hotel properties in the immediate finger lakes region raked their rates ridiculously high due to Home Coming at the local colleges and other fall festivities....and....surprisingly... more

The only way to describe our one-night stay at the Motel 6 in Geneva, NY is awful. We originally booked a two-night stay at this motel to visit the area (I went to college in Geneva) and after researching other hotel and B&B options within a 15-mile radius we found them all booked solid. Some kind of reality TV show... more

My girlfriend and I stayed here on the final leg of a road trip around the Northeast. The motel was fine, but we thought it was way too expensive for what we got ($68). It's your basic, no-frills Motel 6; we didn't have any problems with bugs or cleanliness, but the room wasn't exactly inviting, either. We were on the... more

I have stayed in some pretty gross places overseas but this one takes the cake. *Sheets not changed (found hair of various body parts in the bed) *Bathroom not clean (found more hair of various body parts on the floor, in tub and in sink) *Stains on every surface *Had to change my own sheets, which had dead flea bodies... more
