The lodge is located in a lovely area. It has great amenities and welcoming staff. We stayed six nights and used it as a base for exploring the Hudson River Valley. It was nice to have a computer that guests could use to access information. If visiting this area again, we would choose this lodging.

This hotel is nicely situated near the cliffs. The small but adequate room did have a deck with chairs which was nice. The advertisement boasted a "hot breakfast" but all there was was the usual budget motel buffet of fruit, muffins and instant oatmeal. No elevator, so we packed our luggage up the stairs. Glad we didn't have a 3rd... More

This was the second time we had run a training programme at Minnewaska, and we were not disappointed - it was just as good as we thought first time! Whether you are planning to go there for a vacation or, as we did, for some work, this is a very, very good place to choose. Beautifully situated below the Shawangunks,... More

I traveled with 3 other friends for a "girls weekend" and wanted a place that we could feel comfortable hanging out and talking, but also shop, hike and eat. This lodge was perfect! We were greeted by two friendly ladies behind the counter who treated us as if we were family. The homemade chocolate chocolate chip cookies in the lobby... More

If we could have spent our whole trip here we would have... A little expensive, but you get a comfortable/clean room, an AWESOME cold breakfast and very friendly staff. The gentleman from South Africa manning the front desk was exceptional. He made our stay great and was one of the nicest hotel employees I have ever encountered. Cozy 'great room'... More

My husband and I have stayed for a weekend in late January almost every year since the lodge opened. We come with a small outdoor club group for the outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing which are so close to the lodge. We find that the lodge fits in very well on such a trip. The bedrooms are large... More

All employees were friendly and knowledgable. The room was large, and nicely decorated with a comfortable king sized bed. The lodge is very close to area cross country ski trails. Breakfast was included and offered many healthy choices. Bathroom heat lamp a plus!

I was told that the Minnewaska Lodge was the best place to stay in the area and it was proven time & time again by the travelers who were begging for a room there after finding out how crappy their accommodations were. So with that said, it is definitely the best choice if you find yourself in the area. Run... More

When I read negative reviews for Minnewaska Lodge it's obvious how little research people do before they travel, what were they expecting for such a reasonable price? The Waldorf? Sure the rooms are like a smaller Radisson room (which is not bad by my estimation) but most have outdoor space. If you want a mountain view it will cost a... More

For the price of the room, which adds 18% for service, I was extremely disappointed. The rooms are just regular. I think I would have gotten about the same at a Days Inn. The breakfast which is included is just cereal, yogurt, some hard boiled eggs. We could hear every creak from the room above. But, most disenchanting was the... More
