This hotel has such a great feel, very relaxed atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have been to this hotel before for another friends wedding, and it looks as though they have had a staff turnover. The staff this time around was great. The rooms were wonderful and the beds... AMAZING. The breakfast was wonderful, it's continental,... more

Staff was pleasant enough. Rooms were very clean. Nice sheets and towels. Great workout room. The only complaint is the room was very warm and the windows did not open, (we were on fourth floor). We ran the AC on low all night. Overall a good hotel for the price. more

Room itself is solidly 3 star - carpet, linens, bathroom all in excellent condition. We called ahead day-of and they were able to work out an early check-in for us. Complementary shuttle was reasonably helpful - even if service wasn't great. We used the shuttle to/from a wedding reception -- they were stretched thin trying to shuttle two different wedding... more

This hotel was clean and comfortable. Our room was really big and quiet. There was a yummy continental breakfast too. It's also close to a couple malls and a ton of restaurants. I'd stay here again. more

We needed a place to stay for one night to attend a funeral in Long Island near Garden City. All the other hotels I called were booked up but we were able to obtain the last two rooms at the La Quinta Inn and they provided a generous bereavement discount. The rooms were extremely comfortable. One had a king bed... more

I questioned the desk clerk why they hadn't notified me and he told me they had tried to notify all guests with reservations..Iwas never notified. Got to... more

Not much choice in Garden City. The Wingate was very nice. Everything seemed new and very clean. Great beds and linens. Very quet, except for the loud doors that people insist on slamming. Front desk staff very helpful and even drove the shuttle van for us when the driver was off duty. Decent cold breakfast and coffee all day. more
