Rooms are small but clean and just right for the price. The owner's went above and beyond for us while we stayed there. It is like staying in rooms that are extension of their home. We weren't sure how long we were staying as we were "slack packing" a through hiker on the AT. Ended up being there for four... More

The motel is okay. The problem is the owner. On the door it seems as if credit cards are accepted. In our guide book it states the same, but when you arrive the owner goes through the process of acting like your credit card doesn't work & tells you to go to the ATM so you can pay in cash.... More

I stayed here because after many years of staying in Bear Mountain State Park, I needed a less pricey alternative. This is a good base for activities in the area--just a few minutes drive from Bear Mountain and other sites. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean. The rooms are also fairly tiny--traveling as a single,... More

My boyfriend and I traveled from NYC to Bear Mountain for a weekend hiking trip and stayed at this motel. They don't have a website so I made the reservation over the phone. The owner was super nice and helpful, and I also felt that the price was very fair. The motel is quaint - it consists of only 6... More

I had a great experience at this motel. The owners were very nice and the room was very clean. It was like staying in someones guest room. I would stay here again in the future. If you are looking for a quaint little motel, this is it.

The guy who answers the phone is being offensive by criticizing and making personal comments, not being reasonable. I asked several questions about conditions and the price. And what was the response? That I have many issues, so "go and look for another place". When someone coming from far away, not knowing the area and willing to find a place... More

This review is for AT hikers. Using AWOL's A.T. Guide, I decided to get a mail drop and single bed room at Bear Mountain Bridge Motel in Fort Montgomery, NY. The guide list the room for $69 dollars. And with the stay, hikers get pick up/return to trail at zoo. Well I got picked up by the guy at the... More

We stopped over this motel because of its good location and an overall cuteness of the property. It looks nice from the outside but our stay was not as nice as I was expecting. AC unit is at least a decade old and doesn't do any cooling at all. The room was very uncomfortable and warm even in September. I... More

Very intimate, cute, quaint rooms. Free wi-fi, across the street from a great bbq joint, and is a nice getaway from the city. The price is also extremely reasonable! This is my and my hubby's official little getaway when we want a little break from the city.. truly a jewel.

My son is on the Appalachian Trail and ran out of maps. The AT Conservancy overnight mailed him maps to this motel, and the owner drove out to pick up my son in town and get him back to the motel. What nice people! Thank you.
