This RV park was a great place to stay for visiting NYC. It is close enough to the city to drive in if you want. The park offers a great tour to the city. Good value for the money. It is also close to West Point.

Stayed here during the month of May 2014 for one week, very quiet, level crushed rock pads I had one jack with jack pad sink through the rock at least 12 inches had to move 2 feet to solid ground. Very nice Staff, I would recommend the day trip to New York City and Statue of Liberty. The Tour Guide... More

Over the July 4th weekend we had a quiet relaxing experience. The campground is very clean and neat. The sites are level with a picnic table. The roads to the camping "level" are all paved and not at all difficult to drive. We did not use the pool, but my only comment is that it is a far and steep... More

This rustic, wooded campground is quiet and off the beaten path. It has clean facilities, adequate washer dryer capacity and a fairly well stocked store. Staff was friendly and helpful and assisted me in finding a RV repair service to replace a water heater on-site. The park is generally well kept and sites are easy in, easy out, even for... More

We found Black Bear Campground to be quiet, friendly, clean, and affordable. The woman in the office that checked us in was very friendly and helpful during check in. She answered all of our questions about the local area and was very welcoming. She even gave our son a small hacky sack ball : ) The site was level and... More

We brought our own trailer and had a good spot at the top of the campground! They offered free Wifi but it was never working. The tour to New York City was excellent! The guide was full of knowledge of the city and all the history. We saw a bear cub walking down the road in the campgrounds, that was... More

The campground was pretty good, but the low voltage was a major issue. The power company told them they would put in larger transformers but that did not happen. Could only run one air conditioner with 50 amps. Doing this was taking a chance on loosing an air conditioner and a refrigerator with the low voltage. The only reason we... More

Our favorite place to spend kids' Spring Break. Clean, quiet and cheap! We did rent a RV Cabin during last 3 years and enjoyed our time at this campground. Kids got a decent camping experience and got ready for tent camping (too bad BB doesn't offer tents' spots). Usually we brought our own bedlinen/towels/toiletries/ bath rug/broom/flip flops/small rug. There are... More

When we stayed at Black Bear Campground, Florida, NY, we noticed they had done and were continuing to do a lot of work to upgrade the park. It seems "on the surface" like they have upgraded their electrical hookups. For those of you traveling in big rigs "BEWARE". They say 50 amp; but, it must be 50 amp service with... More
