Thank You Craig and Julian for the best summer weekends and holidays. The Belvedere was just beautiful and your staff makes the stay so enjoyable . Our rooms were perfect all summer and we could not ask for a better place to enjoy our summer holidays, sorry to see the summer end so quickly however with the new air conditioning... More

We spent our honeymoon at the Belvedere Hotel and could have not asked for better experience. The hotel and rooms are gorgeous. The decor is beautifully done and really interesting to look at. The location is perfect - just a short few minute walk from the stores, bars and restaurants of Cherry Grove. And you get the most spectacular view... More

The hotel is an interesting maze of "over the top" decor which adds to its uniqueness and appeal. While the rooms are small they are appointed well and adequate. The owners - Craig and Julian as well as the staff do all that they can to make your stay at the Belvedere and Fire Island an enjoyable experience. The other... More

This was the second time we stayed at the Belvedere. Craig, Julian and the entire staff are exceptional. The rooms are cool, fun and different from the norm. We had a great time at the hotel and met lots of interesting guys. It was a great time relaxing, playing and enjoying the beautiful place! We will definitely be back!

When I was preparing to write this, I read a review from May 2013 that described the Belvedere better than I could -something like "a theatrical fantasy set". When you think of a Cherry Grove pioneer building a " for men only" castle, you really appreciate the details and grand scale of this historical palace. Having missed an outing last... More

Caught up in rain on a stormy May night walking back to the property... the room never felt colder. Sadly, the staff couldn't do anything to help. There wasn't a remote control to start up the cooling/heating overhead unit and we had to resort to using hot showers just to warm up. On second night, we asked if they can... More

The construction looks very nice outside, inside it is very different, it needs a lot of renovation. It is a very strange place, half of the hotel is blocked off to guests. The rooms smell musty and are not overly clean, linen and towels are from twenty years ago, plastic wine glasses; Cheap bath products, coffee served at the reception... More

I know there are extremely limited options on Fire Island. The season is so short, the hotels are basic and pretty bland. The Belvedere is all the kitsch that it promises. A bit like staying in Grey Gardens. Carpets from back in the day, original everything. The host was pleasant and the staff is cute and sweet. Pretty laid back... More

I hadn't stayed @ this place in many years. It was recently renovated and very fresh. We were given a really swell room with a nice outdoor and private area. The room had character. Each room is named and different. We stayed in "Baroque". It was clean and interesting. We had all the amenities you would want except for a... More

Tacky. Kitschy .wonderful. Truly everyone should stay here once it's a Unique experience that you will never find the world over. Trust me I've been around! And the owners are just amazing. The staff is very accommodating. The bohemian atmosphere is unparalleled and the other guests soooooo friendly. I alone and never felt lonely the whole stay.
