We read some mixed reviews on this property before staying there this past weekend, but friends of ours had stayed there and said it was great. We couldn't agree more. Our room was clean and comfortable, the bed and pillows were super soft, and the lobby had an inviting fire in the fireplace to great us. We just can't understand... More

You are so right that we have had a mixed bag of reviews over the course of the last year, and I am gratified that you listened to your friends and gave us the opportunity to take care of you. I think that you are on to something when you mention that an understanding of the Craftsman style and ideal... More

I stayed at the craftsman Inn for two days and had an amazing time. Everyone from the front desk who had great recommendations for things to do, to the housekeepers who gave us extra pillows and a comforter when we asked the first day were very helpful and seemed genuinely to care about meeting our every need that may arise.... Thank you so much for you review, and for the nice comments, especially those that were so kind to our staff! As previous reviewers have pointed out, we are blessed with a group of associates that make us proud! More

I stayed here on a business trip with some co-workers and was very pleased with the accommodations. The rooms were clean and comfortable with rustic decor and charm. I found the housekeeping and front desk staff to be very helpful and professional. My colleagues felt the same way. Looking forward to a return visit.

Thank you for your very kind comments. We had several conferences here during March that drew locally as well as from throughout the state, and the responses from the various groups have been so favorable and gratifying. We hope to see you back soon! More

The first thing folks need to know about this property is that it's much more of a motel than a hotel, that said it's a comfortable, clean and affordable property. To be fair, the rooms don't open directly on the parking lot, but the layout and feel is much more like a motel. With a AAA discount I paid a... More

We are very pleased that you had an enjoyable stay with us. You are correct that our center rooms do look out at the courtyard parking area between our two sections, though we would prefer to think of our layout as more of a country inn then as a motel. Nevertheless, we appreciate your nice comments about the room and... More

Great Inn! The Craftsman Inn may be a bit older fashioned, however the hotel staff are great, rooms are great, its in a great location in a very nice part of Central New York and the restaurant next door "The Limestone Grille" has delicious food, with great staff, and a good bar with great bar tenders. I would stay here... More

It appears this hotel has not been updated since it was built. I can excuse the outdated rooms without any amenities, but the filth is difficult to overlook. I gave this place several chances and each time it got worse. I am not even certain that the sheets had been changed from the previous occupant. The staff were incredibly rude.... More

We acknowledge that there are areas of need in terms of updating for our unique, beautiful and comfortable inn. During the last year we have renovated many rooms, done structural improvements, painted our buildings and strove to invest our efforts where there was the most need. This coming year we have additional projects in the works that will further those... More

Have stayed here once or twice a year for more than a decade and am disappointed to say it has been fading in recent years. This time was the worst and will probably be my last visit. Tried a suite expecting newer, higher quality but found it was not immune to the downward spiral of this once comfortable, convenient and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience, though we of course are dismayed that the experience was a disappointing one. I have reviewed this with our room attendant staff, and am confidant that our new supervisor has the attention to detail that will eliminate the housekeeping deficiencies you speak of. Our door locks are, like many... More

I have stayed at this hotel half a dozen times over the last 5 years or so. Quaint setting with craftsman style decor. The Inn seems to be on the decline. Maintenance is on the decline with obvious signs of neglect on room repairs and cleaning. While the room was acceptable and bed comfortable there were signs that the room... More

In the past this was a great and convenient location for anyone needing to stay in the Fayetteville-Manlius area. There are not many choices. I have stayed here numerous times in the past for funerals, reunions and visiting with friends. My final visit was this August. I checked out a day early it was so bad. The check-in area is... More

Our apologies for the issues that you had during your stay here in August. We stayed here a few years ago in late summer. Everything about this charming hotel was lovely then. Stickley furniture, very comfortable beds, welcoming staff, and a very good, if a bit pricey, restaurant on premises. Fast forward to our recent return. Beds still good, but the overall upkeep was shabby. Housekeeping was poor, the place in general had a... More
