I have stayed at this hotel half a dozen times over the last 5 years or so. Quaint setting with craftsman style decor. The Inn seems to be on the decline. Maintenance is on the decline with obvious signs of neglect on room repairs and cleaning. While the room was acceptable and bed comfortable there were signs that the room... More

In the past this was a great and convenient location for anyone needing to stay in the Fayetteville-Manlius area. There are not many choices. I have stayed here numerous times in the past for funerals, reunions and visiting with friends. My final visit was this August. I checked out a day early it was so bad. The check-in area is... More

We stayed here a few years ago in late summer. Everything about this charming hotel was lovely then. Stickley furniture, very comfortable beds, welcoming staff, and a very good, if a bit pricey, restaurant on premises. Fast forward to our recent return. Beds still good, but the overall upkeep was shabby. Housekeeping was poor, the place in general had a... More

Spent a night here. Cozy place in a nice location. Quiet, comfy room had everything we needed and allowed our dog to join us too. Free coffee, tea and cookies in the lobby were great. Nothing to complain about. I would return.

We had visited the Craftsman Inn a year ago and enjoyed lunch at their restaurant next door. The hotel seemed clean and quaint at the time. I recently stayed there and immediately noticed that the grounds weren't really well manicured. There were cigarette butts all over the ground by the front door, leaves and branches weren't swept off the porches,... More

I grew up in Fayetteville and have been happy to use the Craftsman Inn on my visits back home. I especially love the furniture that adorns the inn and the restaurant, and the staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. Lately however, the inn seems to have lost some of its luster. I don't know if that is because... More

We stayed here one night while visiting Syracuse University and it was perfect. It's less than 15 minutes from the campus. We could have stayed at a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn for the same price, but this place has so much more charm and character. We loved the Craftsman Inn. We live in an Arts & Crafts style bungalow... Just got back from attending a conference. The hotel chosen for the weekend was the Craftsman Inn in Fayetteville. All the staff were attentive and friendly. They even allowed us to check in extremely early to accommodate the conference schedule. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, with no defects. Bed was very comfortable. We would certainly stay here if we... More

Due to a death in the family, I found myself back at Craftsman Inn for three nights. The staff was attentive and accommodating. My room was clean and comfortable, and the folks at the front desk very gracious. While I don't anticipate being in that area again, one never knows. I would stay there again without question. The grill next... More

It's better than 2/5 but 3/5 is average, and this place is in rougher than average shape. It's too bad because it is kind of neat. it's well outside of Syracuse but still in town (Fayetteville) and in a setting with trees and grass. The lobby is neat - the hotel is called Craftsman and all the finishes in the... More

Thank you for your kind words about our staff, and about the cleanliness of our hotel. We hear you loud and clear as to the need for additional renovations and investment. We have just finished top to bottom renovations of a third of our rooms, and plan to begin on the next third in the near future. The concerns that... More
