Maids were very loud in the morning shouting from room to room and using foul language.Seemed to be having an argument! Played music loudly while cleaning. Keys didn't work properly and needed to be replaced twice. No garbage can in the bathroom.

We needed a place for one night and this was the only place available that was within walking distance of the pubs and restaurants. The location was the best thing about this place. This place has a lot of little buildings with your rooms. The place was snowy and icy with Huge Icicles hanging. Our room which was called the... More

Edelweiss Lodge is a great place to be for skiing close to ski hills, walk distance to town, clean and reasonably priced. It is two blocks from town, restaurants and downtown Ellicottville. Parking is somewhat limited for the number of guests in the hotel.

Tried this place for a short mid-week ski trip. Location is great; within walking distance to all the local pubs and restaurants, and a short drive to the ski resort. The room was small but clean, there was no closet and no hangers. The heater settings were either full on or off, making the room excessively hot even in very... More

I like to start with the positive - the location is great. We were able to walk to get coffee and dinner and to the bars. That's a good thing because we were unable to find a parking spot the first evening after returning from skiing around 11 pm. The room was very dated and you could not make out... More

4 of us had 2 rooms on a Thursday night. Skiing at Holiday Valley. They stuck us outside. Walked in very small room that smelled moldy. Got moved to a better room but bathroom sink leaked. Other couple's room refrigerator smelled. No frills. Breakfast decent. Wondered what the main lodge would have been like. Lots of snow overnight but no... More

This is a clean and nicely setup hotel in a great spot in Ellicottville. You're an easy 2 blocks from anything downtown - pubs, shops, whatever E'Ville has to offer. About 5 min drive from Holiday Valley and a few hundred yards from Hollimont. can't get any closer to either and still walk to town. Very basic breakfast: cold cereal,... More

This place is a joke! 1. The rooms smell like people in cultures who do not wear deodorant. I had to wash everything I bought, even if I never took it out of my luggage. 2. Bring a door lock! On the morning of checkout approx 830am as my girlfriend were sleeping,- some cleaning woman just barges right in. No... More

We came to Ellicottville for a Saturday night and this place was the only one with a decent price. It's very cute looking from the street. We checked in and the clerk asked a couple times if we had already checked in - which we definitely hadn't. I thought that was a bit odd, but some people are just different.... More

I was a bit nervous after reading the negative reviews. However, the place is a bit dated, but rooms have been remodeled and are very clean. It's not the Marriott! So don't have the expectations that it is. Its a basic room, newer bedding, and has a mini fridge. The breakfast is limited (fruit, cereal, bread, coffee, and juice). The... More
