Stayed here for two nights, lovely quiet hotel, attentive staff and friendly locals made us very welcome. Evening meals and breakfast well presented and delicious. Lovely views of the Firth from the restaurant and some rooms. Pretty gardens with childres play area. A family friendly hotel,

Just back from spending a night in this little gem of a Hotel, the staff were excellent and could not do enough to help you. We had dinner and breakfast here and food was faultless, gorgeous little village and well worth a visit, great views of the Forth too.

My partner and I took our daughters (ages 9 &10) here for two nights stay. We booked the hotel online two nights before our stay as a last minute treat. We were a little apprehensive as we had read mixed reviews about the place but as we drove up we were quite happy. A beautiful little hotel in a quiet... More

Worse food and customer service I've ever encounter. The owners are depressed and will ruin any stay you have there. They should not be involved in the hospitality industry. Food must be reheated in a microwave, wholly inedible. Drink prices are ridiculous for a average village pub. Not sure how anyone can book this for a wedding.

Got a last minute offer for £65 to stay overnight for me and the wife and have breakfast the next day. The first thing that caught my eye was the unusual decor inside, toy cars and dolls in glass cabinets, I did wonder if I had stepped into a time machine (cabinet was caked in dust). Room was just ok,... More

I grew up in Charlestown and on a chance visit today thought we would have lunch in what I remember to be thriving, busy hub with great food, service and atmosphere. Roll on 20 years this was almost the worst dining experience I have ever had, we arrived to to most unfriendly lady who looked annoyed we had arrived, although... More

Another little gem of a hotel tucked away off the beaten track on the banks of the Forth. A down to earth hotel with a "what you see is what you get" atmosphere. Clean, comfortable & friendly. We were off the following morning to the 144th Open Golf at St Andrews. Breakfast was excellent If you like small & friendly... More
