This was a recommended hotel for a wedding we went to in June 2009. We got to the hotel at around midnight on Friday night after the rehearsal dinner. The man at the front desk could not figure out how to change a room from a king bed to double bed in the computer (at the request of the two... more

This was a suggested hotel for a wedding we attended. It was fine. Things are a little outdated (wallpaper, bedding, curtains, televisions). Room had a fridge and coffee maker, which was nice. The continental breakfast wasn't great. Walk to the pancake house instead, you'll be glad you did. more

I was puzzled by the amount of negative reviews for the East Norwich Inn. We have stayed there many times since our son goes to college nearby. We've always had a very pleasant experience. We've even had friends stay also and they were happy with it also. We've never had a problem with the staff, always pleasant, the rooms are... more

The setting is beautiful and it's about a $7 cab ride from the Syosset train station. The hotel itself is a little drab, which is fine. I set the wake-up call system for 7:45 and it dutifully woke me up. I went down for breakfast and it was sparse but sufficient. When I got back upstairs the lock on my... more

We stayed at this hotel for 1 short night and it was awful. We checked in and immediately noticed the entire place smelled musty and moldy. We got to our room only to find that the television made a loud humming noise and kept cutting out. When we went to call the front desk, both phones in our room were... more

We stayed here for 5 nights last week. We picked the hotel because it was convenient to relatives and my mother who was in the hospital at the time. We were given a room with a king-sized bed that was located near the pool. Although the room was spacious, we immediately detected a musty smell to the room which we... more

We stayed at this hotel for four days and were very disappointed. The motel is old and needs to be updated. The carpets were wet because apparently they just cleaned the carpets. So when we smelled an odor in the room we thought it was because the rugs were just cleaned. Also, one of the lamps were broken. The next... more

I personally booked 3 rooms. I cancelled 1 couple 2 weeks prior and replaced them with another couple. I have a receipt showing that I was suppose to be charged for 3 rooms, but was charged for the couple I cancelled. I also received an extra $50 charged because someone smoked in one of the rooms I set aside even... more

We stayed 1 night at the East Norwich Inn while visiting family in the Long Island area. There seems to be a shortage of hotels on LI despite the proximity to the city. The inn was much larger than we had anticipated. Given the tudor style look of the exterior, the interior decor matched but was a bit drab &... more

Fine place. Comfortable rooms, helpful staff. Beds are great. The continental breakfast and coffee are excellent. (The lobby has references to Burt Bacharach and the NY Islanders. I don't know what any of that is about.) Anyway, feel confident that the East Norwich Inn is very good. more
