My boyfriend and I went to Quintessentials for a weekend away from New York City. It was close enough to the city for us to get there quickly, we took the Hampton Jitney and then rented a car (which I recommend for going to dinner since the restaurants are not within walking distance to the inn), but felt like it... Sylva was a wonderful hostess, very friendly, warm, and accomodating. The inn was beautifully decorated. Everyday breakfast was a treat, made with an island flare. The rooms were named after Jamaican names. Our room had a spacious deck and a cozy fireplace. Great for snuggling up together. The town of Greenport which is closest to East Marion has plenty of... My husband and I absolutely loved our little get away! Sylvia is the perfect hostess and she is one excellent cook. From the minute we walked in we felt extremely welcomed. Our stay there was so relaxing and incredible. My massage with Tim was so relaxing and wonderful. My facial with Sylvia was unbelievable, my skin looks beautiful. I highly... More

Finding a place to go on Long Island, where you can truly relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of it all is rare. That is how I would describe Quintessential, a "Rare Find". The attention from the staff was superb. The massage combined with the steam bath was to die for. I left with a smile on... More

1. They can not call this place a Spa - there is a little tiny room on the side of the house where there was a massage table set up. The carpet was gross, the room looked dirty, it was way too bright & there was no ambiance - not a spa! 2. Horrible breakfast of fried crap - the... More

My husband surprised me for our anniversary and we celebrated at the Quintessentials B&B. From the moment Sylvia, the owner, greeted us I knew this place would be special for us. Sylvia has a knack for creating a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. Her food is outstanding !! I loved our room(Kingston Room) and the location is great. I have traveled... More

My husband and I stayed at Quintessentials for our honeymoon and we cannot stop raving about both the house and our lovley hostess Sylvia Daley. Sylvia makes you feel right at home and her gorgeous house with its tranquil gardens and peaceful setting add to the bliss of your stay. We stayed in the Negril room and it was truly... More

Nestled on the eastern tip of Long Island's north fork is the Quintessentials Bed and Breakfast, one of the most nostalgic and majestic properties in existence with hospitality to rival the grandest of grand Fifth Avenue hotels. The house, a 1840's sea captains manor has been lovely restored by innkeeper Sylvia and her family, reflecting and maintaining a true appreciation... More

I had the MOST wonderful time at Quintessentials B&B 2 weeks ago. The owner treated my boyfriend and me like we were royalty! The breakfast was absolutely amazing, the owner said that the secret was to use only the freshest ingredients. We both loved the combination of a traditional American breakfast with a Caribbean flavor. As a city couple, my... More
