I love this boutique hotel in the Hamptons! It's a quirky, eclectic curation of color and contrast all wrapped in with Swedish charm and thoughtful touches. The restaurant is a remarkable experience with one fantastic, Swedish-inspired dish after another. I found the staff to be uber warm and welcoming. French press coffee pots in the room are a nice change... More

Wasn't going to review this place, there was simply too many negative things to say but then I read a blog post by one of the managers and it made me think.... In her blog she says something along the way that 'these specific guests really made the week end what it was'. And there is the problem, a lot... More

As a couple who goes "out east" often, we have passed this hotel on numerous occasions and always had it on the list to "check out." We booked on the way to East Hampton. We did have some difficulty booking as the hotel website does not accept same day reservations, no one picked up the phone at the front desk... More

The food was good and innovative enough to pay a bit more than usual. The wine selection was fantastic. The place well lit and decorated with taste. It's great for groups rather than couples. Friendly staff that make the experience very nice.

It's rare to find a hotel that can offer a convenient location, fine dining in house, and an endearingly unique ambiance. The Maidstone does it, and for that, I will be back for more as soon as I can. This location offers stroll-distance access to the beach and the main downtown, but it's tempting just to stay on the hotel... More

Wanting to get away for the night, it can be hard to find an inn that will accommodate not one, but two dogs, one of which is a Bernese Mountain Dog. When calling to ask the pet policy and check availability for the one night, the front desk agent was helpful and just warned me that my room was on... More

We spend Christmas Day at the Maidstone, and have been at this property several times now. We love to come in the off-season, take our dog along, and enjoy the beautiful beaches. The Maidstone is a labor of love with wonderful attention to detail. Each room has its own design. We like to stay at the Linne. A small cottage... More

The check-in experience was chaotic and harried, the bar and and lounge fill up quickly at night, as does the very busy and cramped parking lot, and our room was covered in so much fabric that it seemed a throwback to the 70s. Our sheets were dirty, and when we called the front desk to ask for a news et,... More

Reading other reviews I am begining to think i stayed at another hotel this weekend! Firstly, the staff were an absolute joy to be around. Yes, they did greet my dog (Montauk) before me when we arrived late on Friday night, but that is expected. She is definitely the center of attention. Upon arrival they looked after everything we possibly... More

Note: We only had brunch and didn't experience the rooms. To my surprise the menu was Swedish from the meatballs to the thin-silver dollar sized pancakes served with cranberry sauce. The decor also had the Swedish Ikea feel with bright colors mixed with grey walls. The bar was hosting a baby shower and it sounded like everyone was having a... More
