My fiance and I spent a weekend in August at this East Hampton Inn/hotel. We expected it to be expensive given how few hotels there are and that it was high season. However, we were paying over $1,000 for a dumpy room. Oh - actually not over $1,000 as they listed the room at $970 but then charged a $40... More

Dear Alec E, I think " The maids quarter" sounds kind of nice and cozy! But I am of course sorry to read that that is not what you had in mind when writing this review. I am also very sorry to read this yesterday, 7 months after your stay. The best way is of course always to let us... More

Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of staying at one of the hamptons most intriguing and fascinating hotels. The Maidstone is an iconic venue that a swedish hotel group purchased in recent years. The hotel has been completely refurbished and each of the suites and rooms ath the hotel is totally unique and special. The maidstone is located on... More

My wife and I have spent several very enjoyable anniversaries at the Maidstone over the years. We decided to go back for our 25th. It had been over 8 years since our last visit when we arrived on a late September afternoon. To us, the new decor is not as cozy and welcoming as the old days, but maybe we... More

3 of us went for drinks at the Maidstone and really enjoyed it! This is a scandi-influenced hotel with a bar and restaurant, and the decor is really really amazing. We didn't have a reservation or anything but since it wasn't that busy they gave us a table in the bar area, at the corner by the window but looking... More

Do not stay here. They are dishonest and completely unreasonable. We incorrectly made a ONE night reservation at this hotel instead of the hedges, across the street. When we realized our mistake a week later, we were still charged a penalty for cancelling. Typically I would have no issues with this kind of policy but it was still two months... More

Rustyb77 - From your review I understand that you actually never stayed with us? And because you are charged $50 in cancellation fee you write that we are dishonest and that the experience was horrible. Interesting..... Kindest Regards Sophie More

My wife and I returned to the Maidstone in August 2013 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, as we had spent our wedding night there. The original stay in 1993 had been a bit of a disaster, as the hotel had given away our honeymoon suite and we ended up staying in a cramped little room which was all they... More

Dear GDFLondon, We were all so sorry when we heard about your experience with the hotel, located here twenty years ago, at your wedding night. As we told you we have only been here for four years. Even so, it is of course a veryspecial moment to return to a hotel after 20 years as a guest, so we made... More

Just came back from my first trip to the Hamptons. I booked this hotel after looking at many B&B's and I am very happy. The website does not do this place justice. All the rooms are themed and the Inn is a little whimsical. Beautiful Garden with tables to eat outside in the mornings. Our room was upstairs and very... More

We had a wonderful stay here. Staff are very attentive, delicious food with lovely provenance. Our room was just gorgeous, we stayed in Josef Frank - much prettier than in the pics. There are even beach chairs and a parking badge so you can easily get o the beach. There's a cool area for daily yoga classes. It really felt... More

The service is nice for a B&B, India at the front desk is very attentive. I did have a problem with my room, it was small and noisy. Granted they have many rooms to pick from, and they are all different in sizes, but I guess I ended up with the noisiest. I guess the main problem is that all... More
