Carolyn is a great host with fantastic recommendations on where to eat and hit the beach! The house is centrally located - close to East Hampton's town center and also Amagansett. I was able to ride my bike every where avoiding all traffic safely. Room was spacious, private and quiet. All the comforts of home. Looking forward to returning next... More

I am shocked to read the post by the traveler who visited this delightful B&B. My husband and I stayed here for two glorious nights in July 2014 as well. Though I concur that the place is not like a hotel, the room was clean and charming. We stayed in the large room in the back and could not have... More

Amy, many thanks for your kind review -- I love the "diamond in the rough" part! It was a pleasure having you here and also a pleasure learning how to make your fabulous ginger beer drink. What a great time we all had -- am so looking forward to your next journey Eastward! Carolyn More

This quest house is a special place for guests and their dogs but also for kids.It has a central location and very near the beautiful beaches, inlets, and shopping.Caroline is so helpful and friendly. One of our days was very rainy and she took us all to her pottery studio where we played with clay for several fun filled hours.... More

I recently returned to Bend in the Road Guesthouse for the third time. Having read the prior review, I am in total shock. This is a country home full of character and charm. It is not a Motel 6. The Guesthouse is clean, comfortable, and delightful, filled with art and antiques. Carolyn, the proprietor, goes out of her way to... More

I wNted my trip to East Hampton to be away from the hamptons glam and glitz and that's exactly what I got. The house is modest, cute and real. The rooms are ample. (I liked the Ivy room best). The grounds are big and very dog-friendly. The set-up allows for plenty of privacy if desired. Carolyn is a charming host... More

We stayed at Carolyn's with our dog Ollie. It's the perfect escape from NYC and extremely dog friendly! The grounds are vast with a beautiful pool. Carolyn is a gracious host and makes you feel very welcome. The location is close to everything with easy access to both Amagansett and East Hampton. We shall be retuning again!

Our dog and us had a great time. Carolyn, the owner, was welcoming, friendly, and conscious of all 3 of us. The experience was relaxing and felt country; if you're looking for a luxurious hampton experience this is not for you. If you're looking for a relaxing, layed back place with a great owner, that is dog lovely (its beyond... More

Other places are dog "tolerant"; Bend-in-the-Road is truly dog Friendly. On the furniture? no problem. In the pool? no problem. The proprietor, Carolyn, has 5 dogs of her own and she understands our relationships with our fuzzy friends. Carolyn has a huge backyard which is completely enclosed. Ocean and bay are just a short drive away.

We came to a wedding in East Hampton and planned on a quaint little guest house for the weekend. Wow!! Were we surprised. This place is in need of a total rehab. The linens (towels and sheets) showed much wear, the water stained wallpaper was falling off the wall in our bedroom, the mirror is cracked, the pool needs repair... More

am so sorry we did not meet with your expectations, and yes, some of the linens are soft from use, but as most guests seem to like them, it never occurred to me anyone would find them objectionable. Thanks to your comment, however, I have ordered all new sheets and towels so that no one else will be unhappy about... More

The house is wonderful, replete with delightful furniture, decoration, and artifacts in every corner. It is comfortable and well appointed. The location is terrific, within a short drive of anything that one would wish to visit. The swimming pool is beautiful.
