After a hard wet misty walk across Cross Fell on the Pennine Way we emerged to some sunshine to this lovely terraced B&B. A note on the door welcomes you as the landlady works 6 days a week and does not return until after 9. She leaves another note with instructions how to make yourself at home and to connect... More

We had the run of the house and after a full day of riding (C2C) it was great to find the house was located on the green and across from the local pub (George & Dragon) ! Not far to go for everything you need. There was even a couple with their pizza oven in the middle of the green... More

We stayed at the Eastview for one night whilst walking the Pennine Way and I highly recommend it to anyone doing the same. Garrigil is the perfect stopping point after the walk from Dufton (15 miles) with Alston being a bit too far for us. Lana is a very friendly, welcoming and accommodating host, even offering to get up early... More

We were very well looked after when we stayed here during a Pennine walking holiday... We had both a delicious 3 course meal and breakfast the next morning. Lana also took time out to run one of our party to Alston the next day when he suddenly had to cancel his day's walk... Very impressive and beyond the call of... More

Lovely warm welcome from Lana. Comfy beds, piping hot shower. A welcoming log fire in a beautifully appointed cottage. Lana was most helpful and cooked a delicious breakfast that catered for all tastes. The local pub has just opened again which was handy. Particularly appreciated that well behaved dogs are welcome. We have already booked to visit again!

Fantastic. So cosy and welcoming, Lana is lovely. We ordered evening meal and as a vegan not only was I well catered for but the food was better than you get in most restaurants! Definitely coming back!

Just stayed at Eastview. Following a particularly tough slog on my bike, I was hoping that I would have the comfort of a half decent B and B at a reasonable rate. I was not let down. From the moment the door opened we were greeted by a warm, friendly and comfortable experience. After a great nights sleep in a... More

Garrigill is a delightful village and Eastview a perfect place to stay. The B&B is beautifully decorated and the room was extremely comfortable. Lana made a great effort to help me with my Pennine Way Challenge and made sure i had everything i needed. Sadly the Pub in the village is closed, but excellent meals (and very good value) are...
