Couldn't ask for anything more. Great views including sunsets, kayaks and canoes, a bar with a fantastic bartender, a top notch restaurant, cozy building, and friendly hosts. My wife and I stayed for only 1 night but expect to back for multiple nights.

I had visited the Big Moose Inn on my own several years ago, shortly after the current owners took over. It was such a great experience that when my husband and I traveled to the Adirondacks in July, we booked a four night stay. It's one of the last of the original Great Camps in the area, and the owners... More

Great food, great room, but most important time to be alone with the one you love. The cooking is gourmet, rich and full of flavors and textures. Atmosphere is romantic, the service was tentative, but not over bearing, very professional. Peter M. Finocchiaro and Dr. Andrea Finocchiaro

My husband and I had our wedding reception in June at the Big Moose Inn. We had a small reception with under 50 guests, and Susan and Mark (the owners) did an exceptional job of helping create a happy, personalized, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all our reception and overnight guests. Susan did a stellar job of helping me figure... More

If you are looking for world class accomodations, you should probably avoid the Adirondacks altogether...that is not what this magnificent area is all about. Apparently some of the other reviewers of this hotel just don't get it. If however, you are looking for an Adirondack inn that will meet or exceed your reasonable expectations, then this is definitely the place... More

We have been staying at the Big Moose Inn for five summers. The Inn is pristine and the setting is amazing. The rooms are clean and comfy. You can lie in your bed and look at the lake and the mountains and watch the boats go by! The food is amazing and seems to get better and better every year;... More

Staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Food was excellent. Room needed a lot of updating. Overpriced for accommodations. We did enjoy ourselves despite the flaws. Its a historical Inn but its getting seedy. Its too nice a location for that to happen.

Had a groupon that I purchased for the room with credit for dinner in the restaurant. Definitely found the place to be lacking. What others said about dirty showers and smelly beds was true for us as well. I engaged the owners in email after my stay and was denied any kind of discount after I paid way more than... More

This hotel is situated right on the beautiful Big Moose Lake with great views which can be enjoyed form the lovely porch where you can get a drink or meal. I stayed at the BIg Moose Inn for my son's wedding reception. My daughter and I flew into Albany from Southern California and drove to Eagle Bay for the week end of June 28th. The drive to Eagle Bay was absolutely beautiful. I live in the desert and I simply forgot how green the countryside is, how clean the lakes... More
