Stayed here for one night while attending events at SUNY Fredonia. I'm glad I looked back into this property as I found a recent review stating the hotel had undergone a face lift. Check in was interesting as I was grilled by the desk clerk over my use of a first initial. We had a first floor corner room with... more

We pulled in to Dunkirk, NY without knowing this hotel was there, since they're under new management and newly renovated and weren't listed on the internet yet. We decided to stop and ask about prices and see how clean they were. Upon stepping up to the counter, Cathy, the hotel manager, was extremely helpful right away. She offered for us... more

Going into this place I didn't know what to expect. Everyone commented that it wasn't that nice. Someone then noted that it was renovated in 2009 so I took a chance. My wife and I felt that it was a pretty nice hotel with good service. Nice pool and spa. We all got an evening swim in. Great continental breakfast... more

We had stayed at another Best Western a few days earlier, and loved it, so when we saw the sign for the Best Western in Dunkirk, we pulled right in. The desk staff was nice, even at 1am, the room looked great when we threw our bags down. The mattresses hadn't been upgraded like at the other Best Western we... more

OK, I admit I did not stay here. I stayed across the street at the Comfort Inn based on the Tripadvisor reviews. But now I realize they are all old. I think the place changed management or something because my brother stayed at the BW and it was amazing. The room had new furniture, fancy bedding, a new couch, big... more

Booked 5 weeks prior, traveled 13 hours, arrived 2:00PM local time, SAT ONE HOUR, FORTY FIVE MINUTES waiting for room to be cleaned. No one else in lobby, no one came or left, phoned rang one time. Cleaning crew refused to skip to my asigned room to clean it saying they did them as they came to them. Finally talked... more

Get your receipts, all your emails, and everything in betweek. Expect charges and no return calls. Bad management. Over charged. I had a bad, bad, experience with them. Their are other Inns owned by the same person in the area. Make sure you are dealing with a corporate owned hotel. Not a franchise. more
