I wanted to do some canoeing for the 4th of July. We usually go in the Poconos on the Delaware but I thought the catskills would be quieter and a nice change. I saw Al's canoe rental and a little motel attached. I rented one room and our friends rented a second room. As stated in other reviews, the room... More

Spent my 3rd visit at the Downsville Motel. Great time and prices. The area is beautiful and sort of a step back in time. No fast food joints, but an excellent restauarant in town. Will be back and would highly recommend to others. Great for R&R.

2nd visit here and we had another excellent time. Hotel is clean, Al is a great host. A nice little place to get away from it all in the Catskills. Can't beat the beautiful view from the river and the fall foilage.. Had a big fire down by the river at night (went over to the Sport Store and they... More

Very clean and comfortable. Room I had, had kitchen and balcony overlooking the Delaware River. Quite pretty. Rates are very reasonable. Gravel parking lot. Cannot walk to restaurants. There are a few choices in town for meals, about a 3 minute drive down the road. Very Very friendly and helpful staff. It is a great, rustic motel in a very... More

Just got back from a long weekend stayed at this motel for 2 nights. Had the room with eat-in kitchenette. Room was spotless. View from private balcony of the lawn and river were great. It has a fire pit and picnic tables by the river very soothing able to sit by fire in the evening and enjoy the quiet. Accepts... More

Had a very enjoyable stay at this quaint, small motel. Romms are up to date and CLEAN. Has a flat screen TV with cable. Also refigerator and cofe maker in room came in handy. Only down side is there are no phones in the rooms. And in this area, cell phone coverage is spotty. AT&T cell service is good at... More

We stayed here one night as we were passing thru NY. It's an older motel but the rooms are large and clean. Read all the signs. NO CLEANING YOUR FISH IN THE BATHROOM!!! Check in and out was across the street at the bait shop. If you are a fisherman or hunter definitely a good location
