Being an Old Drover's Inn diner for about eighteen years, it has gone down hill. We keeping trying it and hope it will be as it once was. The night we went, in December, there was no heat and they were understaffed. This is not the first time the heat was out during one of our visits. If you are... more

This Inn is comfortable and it has character. Two aspects of our stay were outstanding: the staff was very pleasant and welcoming, and the food was extraordinary. Any questions we had or issues we raised were addressed immediately, with a very gracious demeanor. Dinner at the restaurant, located on the lowest floor of the inn, was first rate. Breakfast was... more

pleasantly surprised by this 1750, wonderfully historic country inn! unfamiliar with the area, and a bit leary about staying at such an "old" inn, i was a bit apprehensive. upon our arrival, we were greeted by such a friendly and genuinely helpful manager, emily. she showed us around the pretty common areas, (fireplaces in all common rooms and dining areas)... more

This was the most fun weekend getaway for my boyfriend and I and many of our friends. We rented 4 rooms in this charming upstate Inn, only 1 1/2 hours from NYC. They catered to us from the moment we arrived (even picked us up at the train!). Two of the couples with us had small children (1 yrs. old)... more

My husband and I just returned from a weekend get away to the Old Drover's Inn. The inn has great charm and the service could not have been better. It has apparently gone through some tough times of late but now definitely seems back on track. Emily, the innkeeper was informative and incredibly generous with her time and her suggestions.... more

Charming...romantic....someplace different. We desperately needed a place to stay for one night with our six year old en route to visiting our older boy at sleep-away camp. Although I would not recommend this place for an entire week for the family, for one night with one child it was great. This will now be our traditional stop-over for the next... more

My husband and I live in the area and decided to give the new owners and chef a try for our anniversary in May 2008. We were delighted! The food was wonderful - perfectly cooked. They have gotten rid of the traditional menu - no more cheddar cheese soup, popovers or turkey hash, but the new menu is interesting. I... more

Did not stay there but had dinner in the Tap Room. My friend and I had an excellent meal starting with complementary hors d'oeurves including enormous popovers. Their classic cheddar soup, not my usual choice for summer, was delicious. Entrees were lamb rack and tilapia both good. Savory desserts, attentive service, and a welcoming hostess all made this a very... more

we stayed at the Old Drover's Inn for one night and had dinner at the restaurant. The house is old, nothing wrong with that, creeky and that's OK but the bathroom was a bit too middle-aged style, peeling paint, very tiny - no amenities in the room ; one bottle of very ordinary red wine would have costed $40.00 and... more

Well, first let me say the food is incredible. The house however, is OLD.. built in 1720.. so it is very old and creaky. If you are not into OLD , this is not the place for you. My husband and I won a trip on Luxurylink.com and thought we got a deal of a lifetime. Little did we know... more
