Booked by my sister in law after seeing on the internet. Always risky but Broom House is no risk. Excellent facilities down to tiny details. My wife and I had the Bridge suite and sis was upstairs in a charming room. All so clean and tasteful. The food both at breakfast and dinner was wonderful.... so much home cooking but... More

We stayed in Esk Cottage for a weekend at the end of May as we were attending the wedding of my partner's daughter. This cottage was an absolute delight. Two bedrooms, a bathroom and lounge combined with kitchen facilities downstairs. There is a most beautiful English garden out front with a little latch gate that opens onto the path that... More

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of May. We booked a double room on their website 5 days before. David then rang me and apologised that he could only offer us two different rooms for the two nights of our stay - not a problem for us. When we arrived, David welcomed us and told us he... More

We stayed in Broom House Guest House for a long weekend, and thought it was lovely. Our room was decorated tastefully and was spacious for a B&B, with room for a nice seating area. It was all spotless, and the bathroom was modern and clean - hotel standard I would say. Breakfast was lovely - especially home-made muffins! The owners... More

We booked Broom House very last minute (we booked at 12pm, arrived at 5pm!) to finish off our honeymoon. We had the small economy room on the second floor which although small was perfectly formed! David and Maria were both so friendly and welcoming. We ate in the new restuarant on the two nights we were there and we were... More

Just returned from our second visit to Broom House and timed our stay with the opening of the new extension and bistro (5th May) As ever Maria and David are wonderful hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble and a now introducing brand new bistro serving interesting food with style. This is not "pub grub", there is plenty of that... David and his wife, Maria, were warm and friendly people who couldn't do enough for us. A nice gesture when we first arrived was David asking if we would like refreshments in the sitting room - it just got better and better. Our room, number 4, was decorated to an exceptional standard - it reminded me of a brand new... More

We just stayed at Broome House for the Easter weekend, 2009 and would recommend this lovely B&B very highly indeed. It is situated in the village of Egton Bridge, which is on the edge of the North York Moors national park. The walk from the village to Broome House is down a lovely lane beside the River Esk. The B&B... More

With so many glowing reviews, how could we go wrong? But Broom House didn’t turn out to be quite as stunning as the reviews (and the hotel’s website) led us to expect. We booked the Cottage Suite on a dinner/B&B deal. We booked by phone but didn’t see the need to follow up with an email. THE GOOD The location:... More
