Was as expected for a B&B. Not the most modern facilities, but it was very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was excellent. Convenient location for exploring the surrounding Hudson Valley area. One computer available with internet access. Oh yeah - the complimentary chocolate-chip cookies are a must-have. more

The house is lovely, location is nice, the inn keeper exceptionally friendly and helpfull. It had the potential to be a great stay ... BUT ... the room was a bit run down, mattress past its use by date and the shower just terrible. Amenties in the room were basic and coffee was charged at $1 per cup. Biggest disapointment... more

The Alexander Hamilton House is a terrific value. Room rates are reasonable, with delicious breakfasts, and other gastronomical treats. The house is located just up the hill from the Hudson River, with mass transit (Metro North station) within a mile. Croton-on-Hudson itself is quaint, as are at least most of the surrounding towns. Would highly recommend the Alexander Hamilton House if visiting this area. The house is full of antiques snd the rooms are clean and comfortable, daily maid service is quick and early. Breakfasts were varied and imaginativeand delicious. The proprietress is friendly and makes you feel "at Home". We would definitely stay here again. more

We arrived late in the middle of Thanksgiving dinner. Sid was all smiles and checked us in while preparing a delicious Turkey feast. our roomk had its own fire place and all was lovely. I spent a week at Alexander Hamilton House with my family back in January while we were between houses. It's a fine old house from the 19th Century, filled with curios and old treasures. The rooms are sumptuous with lots of soft furnishings and flowery wallpaper. Each room is individually decorated with furniture that compliments the age of the hotel.... more

My best friend and I go away every year for Halloween. B & B's or small inns are always our first choice (haunted, even better!) Although the Alexander Hamilton House is not haunted, it is a truly lovely B & B---the only one for miles around---in the lower Hudson Valley of NY. Only 15 minutes north of the TZ Bridge.... more

awful -- dirty. sheets were dirty and unwashed. there was hair by the basin and tub. The innkeeper ignored our requests for new sheets and were rather rude.
