We camped in 84c. We had planned a family outing and had other relatives near by in 83c. Sewage was bubbling right under the camper in 83c. The smell in 84 where we were was awful. Did not notice until after we all set up towards evening. We endured a night and went to park office where employees said that... More

Horrible, we stayed in a cabin in section bb, cabin smelled horrible, the bed were like sleeping on a rock, there was nothing that stated the cabins were up a steep hill, no parking next to cabin so you had to carry all your stuff up the hill, kitchen in cabin had a broken stove with mouse poop all over,... I wrote an earlier review based on staying in a cabin. This new review is based on my recent visit staying in a tent. We were a walk-in in late October and I was told the only available sites were in loops A and B. We drove around and picked a platform site in loop B. For a while, it... More

We love Copake Falls camp ground. I especial like the tent platforms and the swimming hole. Beautiful area of the Hudson Valley makes for a really nice drive in the country. Close the Berkshires if you want to go into Massachusetts.

Stayed here September 2014. This was our first time at this park and we were at the Copake Falls site. The campsites are in a peaceful wooded area. The sites on loop A and B are very close together and many of the tent sites have wooded platforms. The office and the day area are very new and look really... More

A family friend recommended Taconic State Park so we scheduled a visit for post-Labor Day weekend. Arrived early on Friday and it was easy to find our campsite (however, after dark latecomers had a horrible time finding their sites and would drive in circles (sites are marked by a green tag on a tree at the site -- not easy... This is a review of the Rudd Pond campground. Tripadvisor doesn't seem to have a separate entry for it. The campground is actually pretty nice with platforms on most spots. However it is overrun with large multi-family groups, who are very loud, blasting music all day, racing motorbikes up and down the camp road, and generally trashing up the place.... More

First the good: you really cannot beat the location. This campground has a natural wading pool, a deep flooded ore pit for swimming, a playground, a field and multiple trails to hike. There's a 1.5 mile trail that goes right to Bash Bish Falls. Or you can drive 2 minutes down the road to the official parking lot and hike... More

We camped at Taconic - Copake Falls campground the last weekend of July 2014. We booked two platform sites on Loop A for us and our son's family. We were close to bathrooms and to the shower areas as well as within site of the meadow/playground areas. Although I thought the platform sites on Loop A were very close to... More

HOT WATER!!!!! Good water pressure. Large bathrooms and changing area. Hand dryer which easily doubles as a hair dryer. Outlets for a quick phone charge. There was hair in the shower when I used it after a Saturday hike and it was gone when I showered the next afternoon. The bathroom is dated but clean. There is an outdoor dish... More
