Spent three nights at the Barnwell Inn while attending opera at Glimmerglass. The hosts, Tara and Mark, are very welcoming and strive to provide a happy experience for their guests. However, the rigid breakfast hour did not coincide with our schedules. We also found our room dark and dreary, which may relate to the rainy weather during our stay. The... More

A really terrific B&B. Tara and Mark are great hosts, and Mark is a culinary genius. The fabulous breakfasts are an experience more so than a meal! In fact, save your lunch money - you won't need it. Beyond the great food, the B&B is a delight - very comfortable, clean and spacious rooms, and just a few minutes walk... More

My husband and I picked this B&B based on its glowing online reviews. After staying there for two nights, I can say with certainty that the reviews were spot-on. This place is fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming place to stay in Cooperstown. Tara was so friendly and welcoming, the room was perfect,... More

We've been making our Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Weekend pilgrimage for years and ALWAYS stay at the fabulous Barnwell Inn. Mark and Tara are hospitable, warm, helpful, entertaining, and one of the greatest assets the village of Cooperstown has. The inn is extremely well appointed and clean; the breakfasts are a feast. I can not recommend the Barnwell Inn... More

A charming B & B with gracious hosts and amazing breakfasts! It also has a convenient location to the Baseball Hall of Fame and to the shops and restaurants on the main street - all within walking distance. Once you get used to the breakfasts, you will not want to leave.

This was one of the nicest "hotel" experiences we have had. We have only stayed at B&Bs a few times but we wanted to be close to the Hall of Fame and the hotel I had stayed at previously was booked so I checked TripAdvisor for other options. From the second we drove up to the Barnwell Inn and Tara... More

My wife and I stayed with Mark and Tara last summer and it was faaaantastic! Mark and Tara are so nice. It was colder than we expected in Cooperstown when we arrived so we asked Mark and Tara where we could buy sweatshirts...and they literally gave us the shirts off their backs! Ok, not literally, but they did lend us... More

Mark and Tara are our second family in New York. We found them online all those years ago and have been coming back every October since!! House is like home to us, and the breakfast will incapacitate you! As long as we can drive we will be staying here with them! We cannot recommend them enough, they are two of... More

My wife and I first booked for a weekend over the summer, during the busy season in Cooperstown. We had to cancel at the last minute but the owners Tara and Mark were very accommodating. They allowed us to switch our reservation to a later date easily. When we were able to visit again in September (after the tourist season... More

We are seasoned travellers, either hotels, B&B's or cottage rentals, and this one surpasses everything. It is beyond expectations; large comfortable rooms, perfectly appointed to its mid-Victorian style. While normally we eat simple breakfasts, chef Mark's outstanding skills may make us change our minds. Fresh fruit, bacon or sausage, quiches, sweet puddings, made fresh daily, was a treat. The genuine... More
