Our family spent several days here for a visit to Cooperstown. Resort is very classic, well maintained and clean. Staff is well trained, very helpful, and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each day, which had a great selection of food for every taste. We didn't eat other meals at the resort, choosing to try out the local restaurants. We... More

Wonderful! Amazing! Delicious! Sunday Brunch for $30 per person - features everything from French toast stuffed with fresh peaches to eggs Benedict to made to order omletts with a great seafood bar that featured raw oysters, smoked salmon (and all the fixings!) jumbo shrimp and crab claws/legs. There is also the usual of prime rib and ham. Outstanding dessert table.... More

Just returned from a one week stay at The Otesaga. This was our first trip to Cooperstown and it won't be our last! We came to Cooperstown for our son's baseball tournament which was just a few miles down the road at Dreams Park. The resort location was ideal and just enough off the "beaten path" of the hustle and... More

Many people run to Trip Advisor when they have a bad hotel experience and I tend to discount those reviews if the experience appears to be the result of 1) an exaggerated sense of entitlement or unrealistic expectations on the part of the guest, or 2) unfortunate stuff that the hotel tried hard to address. This review recounts a bad... More

I have known about this classic resort hotel since I was young and have always wished to stay there. After booking a package at Glimmerglass Opera, it seemed an opportune time. It is quite expensive(over $400/night) but a lovely setting on the lake and decent sized rooms. food and beverage are actually moderately priced and, while not wonderful, are as... More

I know the choices are few in Cooperstown and this is the baseball home town and one can charge what one wants but $400.00 for a tiny smelly room facing the parking lot with a dormer that cuts the room in half?? The bathroom is very tired and cramped- though the chamber maid was helpful and sweet We found the... More

This grand resort hotel is one of a kind. This was our second visit, with better weather, which made a bit of a difference, although the glorious setting could be enjoyed no matter what the weatherman brings. Enjoy a cocktail overlooking the beautiful Lake Otsego, while sitting in a rocking chair allowing your cares to pass you by. The breakfast... More

The Otesaga Resort Hotel is truly spectacular from what I saw of it. We didn't stay overnight because they were booked, however we ate at the Glimmerglass many times for their lunch buffet and it was really lovely. We sat out on the veranda and enjoyed our meal looking out over Glimmerglass Lake. We are anxious to return this weekend... More

The Otesaga is an amazing step back to an era of a resort hotel of days gone by. The rooms are clean, well lit and airy (leave the windows open instead of using the air conditioning). The public spaces are clean and welcoming. The outdoors are, what I consider, the most beautiful part of the country (Central, Upstate NY). The... More

This is a lovely historic hotel situated on crystal clear blue "Glimmerglass"! We visited at the height of the summer season yet the hotel was calm and comfortable. A grand verandah overlooking Lake Otsego accommodates multi-generational guests including families with young children, couples, grandparents, and, while we visited, a wedding party! Our room was large and well-appointed and the rate... More
