My daughter and I stayed at Cobblescote the week of July 11, 2014 for a baseball tournament. Seven families from our team rented the entire property which entitled us to a party hosted by Peter, the owner of the property. The party was for the entire team (approx. 40 of us). It was fabulous! The remaining team families were welcome... More

My family recently stayed at Cobblescote for a week while my son played at Dreams Park. We stayed in Walkers Cottage. It was wonderful!! The accommodations were fabulous and the setting peaceful. There is a loft with 2 twin beds that my sons loved, along w/ the new deck that we all took advantage of. The kitchen has all new... More

Weather a baseball team (our son played at Cooperstown Dream Park), family or friend getaway, this is the place to stay! Peter and his staff were just delightful and very accommodating to any needs. We stayed in the main house, room #2 which was a comfortable stay for 3 people... 1 queen, one single bed. This place is so clean... More

I stayed in the south cottage. It had recently been completely rehabbed resulting in a very nice unit with beautiful wood cabin/ chalet feel yet all new amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. The common area by the main building was very comfortable and charming with an excellent view of the gorgeous lake. This expansive porch deck also had a... More

With a large porch overlooking a glimmering lake, mountain breezes, no humidity, no bugs(wow) and lovely landscaping, it is an ideal way to spend a week in New York State. We came to see "Dreams baseball" and we couldn't have chosen a lovelier place to stay. Large, clean beautifully furnished rooms with AC, private bath, TV and Wi-Fi. My travel... More

We've stayed at Cobblescote many times while visiting Cooperstown and the Glimmerglass Festival. Peter and his staff are great--warm and welcoming. In addition to the included breakfast, we had a delightful dinner with that magnificent view of the lake. I had mussels and a steak cooked to perfection. Four of us had a lovely suite. Very clean and cosy. Friendly... More

What a beautiful place on the lake. We had 7 families for a baseball tournament and Peter and his staff were Extremely gracious. They included a team party including families not staying at cobblestone.

Our experience was quite different from those who offered positive ratings. The bathroom floor was so filthy; I used a tissue to wipe up some water and it was black. We had ants in the room and no cell phone service (specific to AT&T customers.) Peter was indifferent. Check the BBB, Peter does not always make things right.

HeidelbergBread, Owner at Cobblescote on the Lake, responded to this review

This family from California just spent a week at Cobblescote. For the first several days of their stay they raved about the accommodations here. On their last night here something went wrong. A thunderstorm caused a general power outage which darkened much of our facility. All seven units were occupied the night of the storm and six families managed to... More
