Spent a night there during Snow Storm Jonas. It was a last minute booking (MTA shut down all public transportation to NYC) and the owner already left for the day. Cold and exhausted after 10+ miles of hiking in the blizzard, I was at their doorstep calling to make a reservation. Vera showed up in less than 10 minutes! Inside... More

What a lovely experience! This was our second time to the Inn, welcomed both times by Vera into the warm parlor featuring a glowing fireplace decorated with holiday lights and colors. Exhausted after hiking for miles, there is nothing we wanted more then a comfy sofa, a delicious glass of wine, and a warm low-key place to rest -- and... More

Inhospitable owners/innkeepers! They are in the wrong business. I called at 4:45pm for a last minute booking, the innkeeper was irritated and said verbatim, "un-freaking-believable!" when I said we were in front of his doorstep. Apparently he had already left for the day. We waited in the car, saw him go through the front door, and followed. Would you believe... More

We found this bed and breakfast very dated and tired... The paint peeling, the wood floors need buffing.. Carpets thinning.. Our room linens faded.. It felt like not much money was put into the upkeep of the place lately.. The owner Dave was not around very much. We have stayed at many B&B's and the owners are usually around ..... More

We stayed one night and I have to agree with my husband that breakfast was the most amazing thing about the Inn...and this from a man who didn't know there would not be a tv in the room (frankly I hadn't bothered to check). While superficially clean, there is so much "stuff" in the place that the dust was bothersome.... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was perfect. Dave, the proprietor, gave us a nice little tour of the establishment, and was very helpful with directions to the trails and other things to check out in the town. Our room was nicely appointed, and I would love to have that bathroom in... More

We had a lovely time at the Pig hill Inn and would definitely recommend it to anyone. It's a lovely place with unique rooms and oozing character. Breakfast was great, they certainly put in a lot of effort and this was appreciated by us. Dave the owner was friendly and made us feel very welcome. There was even a fresh... More

Chosen because of its Tripadvisor reviews, the inn lived up to its reputation. It is a well maintained genuinely historic house on the upper part of the Main Street in Cold Spring. Breakfast is wonderful - a choice of two specials or the usuals (specials changed while we were there) plus fruit and bread basket, coffee, juices etc. **Really** well... More

I very much appreciated that the manager stayed late to let us in when we were delayed and arrived at 8 pm. I know he has to be there again at 7 am to prepare breakfast -- which was excellent. We even had a choice of omelette or pancakes. I was impressed by the good sense to have people sign... More

They don't accommodate children. At. All. I spoke with someone on the phone there who suggested I try one of the hotels on the highway. Terse and unhelpful. The place was highly recommended to me otherwise -- it's too bad. (This is my first Tripadvisor review and I signed up just to post this -- was such a weird conversation... More
