They don't accommodate children. At. All. I spoke with someone on the phone there who suggested I try one of the hotels on the highway. Terse and unhelpful. The place was highly recommended to me otherwise -- it's too bad. (This is my first Tripadvisor review and I signed up just to post this -- was such a weird conversation... More

I surprised my fiancé with a trip from the city to celebrate his birthday and we couldn't have been more pleased! The town, including the inn, was a really short walking distance from the Metro North train stop. Vera was welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We couldn't stop saying how stinking... More

I stayed in the Danish Blue room at the Pig Hill Inn over a weekend. This room was prettily decorated. It was also bathed in light as the sun came up; I love this. The staff at Pig Hill Inn was also very warm and welcoming. Dave checked me in and cooked really delicious breakfasts. The Inn is in short... More

The host and hostess are very nice and accommodating and breakfast was great. Cold Spring is a cute town, and the location is superb. Unfortunately, the Inn itself is tired. We were in the Victorian Room and it was very dark and dusty, definitely to be avoided if you have dust allergies. Nothing major, but we did find a few... More

Was here with my husband for a weekend. This small town is close to NYC and very welcoming. There's not a lot to do, but it was very relaxing to walk around. The inn was lovely, with really nice rooms. Ours had a wood-burning stove (good heat!) and antiques. The breakfast was good, abundant, and freshly cooked. The dining room... More

This is a tricky review to write. The hostess is lovely and went out of her way to make us feel at home. The service is 5* without a doubt. Breakfast was great too, with changes each day so you don't end up eating the same things. Sadly, it is over priced for what it is - but I think... More

The Pig Hill Inn has wonderful hosts, greets you with fresh baked goods, pies, T etc. has a lovely breakfast and the most picturesque location in the center of town in a beautiful ivy-covered, old red brick building. You feel you have stepped into history, A sweet time vault... Rooms were clean, well appointed and roomy enough. Room for improvement... More

The breakfast was delicious. They offered complimentary tea and pie in the afternoon which was a nice perk. The rooms were pretty good but nothing special. Beware that the bathrooms can be quite tiny and that they are not ensuite in all rooms. Very close to the train for convenience. I would probably stay again in future.

Loved the Pig Hill Inn. Delicious and filling breakfasts, cake and pie afternoon snack, cozy fires and endless board games made for a delightful and wonderful weekend away from the city as a couple. Certainly an inn with charm (some hallway floors/doorways a little creaky outside our room), we have already said we plan to return. Situated in the middle... More

Returning from a milestone anniversary celebration, our adult daughter steered us to Cold Spring, which we learned is a favorite escape for NYC dwellers. Once there, she navigated us to this very delightful inn which, fortunately, had vacancies. We stayed in the Danish Blue room, which was comfortable and nicely appointed. The next morning's breakfast, which was included in the... More
