Building c.1832 with attractive period inn/restaurant and appears to be one of the nicest local restaurants along popular Main St. I ordered pizza that was on a dry cracker with overly sweet pizza sauce. However, my wife loved the onion soup & I literally watched a woman scrape her bowl after she finished the lobster bisque.Crêpe tasting-like rolls served with... More

We planned our son's rehearsal dinner from Florida with Craig, and we found him to be very helpful in planning this event with us. The setting on the Hudson river is gorgeous, and the dinning room was set up and decorated beautifully for our large group - see photo. The food was excellent: salad, rib-eye steak, chicken breast with four... More

I stayed at the HHI for a Saturday night and I was very disappointed. My wife and I were supposed to take a Seastreak Ferry up the Hudson from NJ but bad weather cancelled the boatride. Since I had already booked the room and had passed the cancellation date I drove up and visited Cold Spring, NY. The room was... More

Great location, excellent breakfast, tired room decor, small room, sink level with my crotch, mirror offered good view of my chest, and parking is not convenient. If you visit this area Beacon would be a better bet. More options for lodging, eating, shopping, DIA:Beacon, a very interesting art museum.

As others have reported, the furniture in the room could use some updating. It didn't bother me, but did my wife. Other than that, the room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the river. The restaurant food and service was excellent. Their bar closes 9:00 PM on Sundays, so we didn't get a chance to... More

Have been here twice, once for Easter Brunch which was wonderful and a second time with a larger group for my son's graduation dinner. The Brunch at Easter was fantastic, the food, excellent, the menu great. Service was fantastic. The second time, even though I made a reservation a month in advance, we were not able to be seated in... More

We stayed here one night only (Friday-Saturday) as we had a kayaking tour down the Hudson early Saturday morning. The service is incredible, the rooms are pricey for what you get--not luxurious at all and could use updating, but overall a nice stay. The price is a bit steep in my opinion (about $200/night) and therefore should make some efforts... More

Stopped in for Sunday Brunch on 8/9/15. Beautiful and quaint right on the Hudson river with spectacular views. Service was excellent as was the food. For $26, you get a choice of appetizer and entree. Both courses were prepared perfectly. After brunch, a nice stroll along the Main Street for some nice antiquing/shopping. Friendly town.

We've been to Cold Spring a number of times and wanted to stay somewhere a little nicer than the standard "chain" hotels up and down the Hudson. This is obviously a popular hotel as the first weekend we wanted to stay was fully booked. We planned for another weekend and were still not able to get the balcony room we... More

There's no denying the wonderful location of Hudson House, right on the water and overlooking the promenade, with direct walking access to the charming main street of Cold Spring. Many of the features of this historic spot are also quite charming, especially the dining room and the river view balconies, but for the money, its also a little shabby in... More
