We recently stayed at this facility for one night during a fall drive through New York state. This is a very clean and well maintained property. The owners have done a fantastic job restoring and refurbishing to modern day standards. Alyse was very accomodating - she was quite eager to satisfy any of our needs. In conclusion, we thoroughly enjoyed... More

We were 2 couples staying at the McKinley House which was very conveniently located so we could walk into town for restaurants, shopping, events and simply to enjoy the riverside. Our rooms were nicely decorated, appointed, clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the fresh fruit salad at breakfast and the attention to organic products. In the afternoon, we were able... More

This is a beautiful house/B&B where we spent 2 nights while in town for the Jazzfest. Alyse is a wonderful hostess who made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Her husband Steve helped us get prompt service from a service station when we had car trouble and it was resolved that day. Kathy who did most of... More

Very clean room (we had the first floor room with a privte porch) and common areas are well thought out to provide for travellers needs (refrigerator, coffee, tea and even a large cooler) Friendly, helpful host, Elyse, assured we got the most from our stay in this wonderful lakeside town. We were in the area to visit the Antique Boat... More

We visited the McKinley house for 1 night while before visiting Boldt Castle. We stayed in the cheapest room (the Calumet), but were plenty happy despite the short walk to our private bathroom down the hall. A nice touch was having monogramed robes available for the walk. The breakfast was delicious, Elise was lovely, and we would certainly go back.... More

Really great place, the owners make sure you have everything. You are close to everything in town. One of the finest B and B we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. Great value Perhaps a little more for breakfast in terms of quantity and quality but a great, great place. Would be our first choice to stay... More

We have stayed here two years in a row and the inn is spotless. Our bed and room was comfortable and all the rooms seem very pleasant and quiet. The front porch is a lovely place to chat as are the inside areas. Breakfast is served between 8 and 8:30 and was very nice. The owners, Steve and Elyse, love... More

We had a terrific time at the McKinley House B&B in Clayton, NY, and highly recommend staying here. We were in the Calamut Room. It's bright, airy, and very nice size. It does not have a in suite bathroom, but we had a private bath down the hall and this was not a problem. The B&B is very quiet, extremely... More

My fiance and I stayed here for 1 night (we couldnt stay for 2). Thought the house was charming. The room we stayed in was on the first floor and it was very clean, comfortable and furnished well. The owners were just as friendly as can be. The breakfast was delicious. I am a very picky eater so for those... More
