My husband and I, along with another couple, rode in on motorcycles at 8pm on a Friday night. The Inn has a feeling like "home" and is in walking distance to everything. We walked to a local pub for dinner which was fabulous and in the morning had breakfast where all the "locals" go! Town is very close and so... More

The Wooden Boat Inn is located on a quiet side street and it is a nice walk to the museum and downtown area. Our room was perfect size for two, clean, nicely decorated and bright. The bathroom, while being small, was clean with nice, white towels; it would benefit from some minor updating. There is pleasant community kitchen with coffee maker... More

Despite being shafted a month before by the owner (that is we made a reservation for one night only to be called two days before and told that the room had been booked before our reservation. What a crock! He found someone to take the room for two nights, thus we got shafted. I understand this has happened to other... More

My wife and I really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere at the Wooden Boat Inn. The friendly staff, great location, and reasonable price all ensure that, if we ever return to Clayton, we will definitely stay there again.

I realize this is kind of a strange review, because we never actually stayed at this place - through no fault of our own, though. We booked a room there for a wedding . When we booked, we were told that it was a 2-night minimum stay, and that every place in Clayton had that requirement. We could only stay... More

Dissatisfied customer: When I look at what you have to look at in this situation, I can see where you think we have deceived you because you only had one night reservation, and you think you were singled out. There were guests that had one night reservations, the others had scheduled two nights, and two had three nights. In all... More

My family and I rented the cotttage/house and it was wonderful. They were very accommodating with a VERY late check in (1:30 am) and very friendly. Very clean rental. I will definitely look into renting here next next!

The Inn was very clean and in good condition. The owners were very hospitable. Plenty of parking space and within walking distance to the boat museum and several restaurants makes this a good choice for exploring the 1000 Islands region.

We were going to be in town for less than 24 hours, so wanted something special and different. We booked the Admiralty Suite (which is a trawler in the marina a block from the Inn.) Bernie met us, showed us around and recommended a few restaurants for dinner and breakfast. The next morning he took us on a wonderful cruise... More

Walking distance to Clayton. Cozy rooms. The owners are extremely nice and friendly. Clean rooms. Just perfect for us. We walked into Clayton the first night for pizza and visit to Coyote Moon. Next day breakfast, lunch with friends. Had some time to kill before our wine cruise and ended up sitting outside the Wooden Boat Inn with a little... More
