stayed in the house, and one motel room. Very nice place. Being in the house was like be at home, very clean motel, walking distance to antique boat museum. About 2-3 blocks from downtown. Quite street

We were Clayton, NY for one evening for a Phil Vassar concert at the Opera House. Our room was wonderful (#6)! It was clean, comfortable and ideally located. We really enjoyed being able to grab a fresh cup of coffee upon our afternoon arrival. Sad we didn't get to enjoy a fire in the very inviting area, but arrived back... More

Our room was immaculate, we had room #4 with king bed. Tom the owner thinks of every little detail. Things like the water reservoir on the keurig coffee maker was refilled everyday. I never had to do it. He had creamer in the fridge for us to use. There is a stone fire pit with Adirondack chairs around it for... More

This small inn--only 6 rooms--is a gem of a find in Clayton. Room 4 is definitely the best: king bed, corner room; quiet. Although the room itself is small, the bed is wonderfully comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was good; everything was spotlessly clean. We especially appreciated the outdoor patio with its fireplace, and the porch/kitchen for gathering... More

Bedding and bed were comfortable. Room although very small was clean. TV was on one side of the bed. Closet had plenty of space. Shower and toilet in the same space worked okay. (toilet had a leak that ran the water every 1/2 to hour) Sink with counter top just outside shower space. Sink plumbing leaked onto the counter so... More

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Was in walking distance to the Antique Boat Museum and many other places. After a long day of sightseeing it was like a comfortable oasis. We would definitely stay again and will recommend this spot to friends and family.

Wonderful location. The hosts have thought of everything you would need while making this your home base. So nice to be able to come back after a busy day of sight seeing and just relax and cook a steak on the Weber Grill furnished by the hosts, Tom and Carol Hart. Just relax, re-charge and get ready for the next... More

This reviews well and shows up positively in pictures. However, in reality the rooms are tiny. The bathroom almost demands that you breathe in to find space - and when will proprietors realise that providing the cheapest possible toilet tissue just results in twice as much being used. Car parking is adequate - but be sure to use your numbered... More

My husband and I decided at the last minute to go to Clayton and found this motel on a side street. We had to call a number to check in and get a key from a lock box. The room was very clean. We found the bathroom was very small and the shower was hard to move around in. The... More

A very lovely place. Very clean inside and on the grounds. Nice patio with picnic tables, general room w coffee, frig, microwave, washer and dryer. Stayed in Room 6 which also has a microwave and frig. 1/2 mile walk to town on residential streets. Very quaint, cute town.
