If you are going to Buffalo NY for shopping, this is a wonderful alternative to the standard airport hotel/motel stuff. Excellent value for the money, expecially if you opt for the room and meal plan. We had the Wilson Greatbatch room... it was huge. Sofa and easy chair. Fireplace. Desk. All in period furnishings. The bathroom was small, but certainly... more

We stayed at the Asa Ransom House for three nights in July. The B&B is a large, well kept complex with beautifully maintained lawns and gardens. We stayed in Room #1, the John Ellicott room which faces the front of the house and hears some traffic from the busy road. The room is slightly different than represented on the website... more

We stayed at the Asa Ransom House for two nights while I was in Clarence for my high school reunion, one of the many B&Bs we have visited in the last few years. This is a lovely historic home that has been well maintained and restored. Our room, the Rebecca Room, was lovely, with a good sized bathroom (including great... more

Highly recommend the Asa Ransom House for adults who are staying in the Buffalo area for a couple of nights looking for a unique alternative to a hotel/motel. The 10 bedroom B&B/Inn is owned by a railroad enthusiast and you'll notice the RR memorabilia as you enter. (Just don't step on George, the huge golden retriever who “guards" the door!)... more

This was our third stay at the Asa Ransom House. The house and grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms are individually decorated and can be viewed on their website. Bedroom doors are left open after being made up so that unoccupied rooms can be viewed. There is a laid-back and well-behaved Golden Retreiver on the premesis. The inn is... more

We were quite delighted when we arrived at the ASA Ransom House. The public areas, the rooms and the outside are attractive and inviting The owner provided us with a bowl of fruit and cheese for our room. We were quickly disappointed when we pulled down our covers after 11 at night and found the sheets stained. It was not... more

Everything was perfect. The fireplace, the heated towel bar in the bathroom, the bathrobes in the closet, the comfortable bed. The home was decorated beautifully for the holidays. Breakfast was delicious- an amazing assortment of teas to choose from (I had the Apricot black tea), freshly baked muffins, a glossy danish filled with blueberries and cream cheese. I chose the... more

My husband and I visited the Asa Ransom House during our visit to Upstate New York. We had stayed in two B&B's earlier in the week. While we found those to be quite nice, we found the Asa Ransom House to be AMAZING! We were traveling across state, and decided to stay close to the Buffalo area for a few... more

Charming bed & breakfast with very reasonable rates during the week. The room was impeccable and the breakfast was a delight, although I was surprised at the large quantity of food. Definitely plan for a light lunch. The next time we're in the Buffalo area we will stay here (if they aren't already sold out). more

Last month my husband and I enjoyed an overnight stay at Asa Ransom House. We were only in the Buffalo area briefly, but hope to return, as there's so much to see and do in the area. After a walking-tour of downtown Buffalo with its fascinating historic architecture, the drive out of town past the historic Forest Lawn Cemetery and... more
