An oasis of tranquility in Western New York, near Buffalo and Niagara Falls, this place is a rare gem even among the best Bed & Breakfasts. A beautifully restored old building, originally a gristmill built by town founder Asa Ransom around early 1850's, it has been lovingly converted into one of the finest, most hospitable bed and breakfasts I have... We have been to many local B&Bs in the western NY area. We have had good stays, but Asa Ransom House of Clarence Hollow has taken the experience to having each detail professionally, yet personally, and perfectly done. The detail to service, setting, and the culinary was made to your order. The choices were plentiful and filling. We were so... More

This is a charming historic home that exudes charm, authenticity, good staffing and an appealing menu. Each room was comfortable, filled with carefully selected, period furniture and a modern comfortable bed. The dining room and lounge are equally authentic and attractive. The breakfast and dinner were very good, with one glaring (and hopefully atypical) exception. My wife's sauerbraten had little... More

First let me say that we only stay at select registry properties (for those of you who love B&Bs this is worth learning more about) and this was our 7th select registry property stay in just over a year and ranks as the lowest in comparison to our other stays. We stayed here one night, Saturday, July 5th. We stayed... More

We stayed only one night but fell in love with the place. The staff was gracious and very attentive. The breakfast was excellent as well. We will be back for an extended stay and definitely recommend staying here if one wants to visit upstate NY. This is the nicest b & b we have stayed at.

If you are near Buffalo, NY for any reason this is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! The rooms are spotlessly clean and the restaurant is wonderful, and the whole enterprise is a treat for any traveller. Each room has period furnishings, but they are not overdone--they aren't the "teddy-bear" on the bed sort of cute. They are wonderfully comfortable... More

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 day 'getaway' at Asa Ransom House. This was the 12th time we have stayed there and as usual it was fantastic! We have tried 4 of their rooms - we prefer King size beds so there are 5 to choose from. We like the 'Pine Grove' the best of the... More

Thank you for your kind words. I will pass on your compliments to the entire staff that helped make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. With the spring weather arriving soon...? You will find me in the herb garden planting the many herbs that we use daily in the kitchen. Thanks again and have a great day! asaransom More

My wife and I stayed in the Country Garden Suite. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The hot tub and fireplace were really nice additions to the room. The breakfast and service was spectacular. It was a great experience.

We stayed in the Renaissance room for seven nights in January. It is a beautiful room with a sitting area and second exit to a back porch. The room decor is warm and is complimented by the gas fireplace. The owner and staff were very helpful during our stay. The breakfasts are wonderful, with a wide selection ranging from granola...
