After spending four wonderful days in Vermont, we were disappointed in our accomodations at Friends Lake Inn. We checked in and were taken upstairs to our room. The Friends Lake Inn deserves moire custom than it was getting the night we stayed. Its restaurant was notable for a fine and imaginative menu, a splendid wine list -- not because it features some stratospherically priced wines, though it has some of those -- but because the reasonably priced wines (in effect the house wines) were of superior quality.... more

The view from our room was worth the trip alone. Friends Lake is a gorgeous, clean and weedless lake. Our room was beautiful, soothing and very clean with comfortable bedding and chairs.
