We went for a nice winter walk with family and enjoyed the woods and the scenery. The trails are quite nice, although without much snow so far this year, they were somewhat icy in spots. There is no entry fee during the off-season and the park was not at all crowded on a Sunday.

Over the last 40 years I've been to this park 3 times but never to camp so we decided to give it a try with our motorhome. The park is huge with almost 1200 acres. 3 separate camp areas are within the park some with electric some without. Our site in Pine Bluff had 50 amp service. None of the... More

This was our second camping trip with a 3 year old and 6 year old and were very disappointed with this park. First, the lots in pine bluff were one on top of another and full of dirt, rocks and tree roots (no area for kids to play). We were given no information about hours of operation or anything available... More

Visited Chenango Valley State Park today... €7 entry fee for a car (not per person), we based ourselves around the beach area which is located at the Southern end of Chenango lake. Well covered by several life guards with plenty to do for kids & adults of all ages. Boat hire available ($25 deposit and $5 per hour thereafter) and... More

We arrived for our daughter's graduation party, which we paid well in advance for ($100). It poured for most of the day, and the day prior. The tables had been moved out of the pavilion for a wedding the previous day and not put back, so were soaked through. Two dry tables went to people who used the pavilion but... More

Memorial Day weekend was jammed with families, great spot for the kids. We were surprised that the beach had not yet been opened, but the trails were good for walking and we enjoyed a fire at our campsite. Check-in was smooth and friendly, (we beat the rush!)

Last weekend was our first time staying at this State Park. Son had a wrestling tournament in Binghamton and didn't want to spend extra money on a hotel room. So I looked up closest campsite to Binghamton. When we got there staff was very helpful. Giving us directions to all area shopping areas for food and other necessities. They gave... More

When booking a site for camping, we like to use Google Maps to see the campground and pick out a site that we like, the site we had this past weekend was very nice, a little more space then most due to being by the bathroom/shower. We also had open sky above us and enjoyed watching an aerial flight of... More

My first camping experience was here after my wife and I decided we would try camping. We stayed from Saturday to Monday and could not be happier. The sites are clean with privacy and a nice moveable fire ring and table. We pitched our new Eureka tent one site over from a friends and set up a base camp at... More

We stayed at the Chipmunk Bluffs area, overlooking the creek. It was a little crowded, but private enough. The two women at the park office at check-in were pleasant and helpful and gave us a park map and trail maps for hiking. We purchased firewood there - very convenient, though the wood was a bit damp (even though it was... More
