The Englewood is a lovely B&B right at the heart of the Chautauqua Institution. It's just steps to the Amp and to Bestor Plaza, which is very convenient. Olivia, the host, puts on a nice breakfast and has a very well-stocked common kitchen area (which we used repeatedly). Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Couldn't ask for more from... Proprietor, Olivia is one of those gifted individuals that have the ability to make you feel completely at home in her home. Englewood was a wonderful retreat. Relaxing and the PERFECT place to experience Chautauqua for a first timer, or for an annual sabatical. Wonderful home, comforts and breakfasts. Thanks Olivia

The Englewood is a beautiful little B&B right in the heart of Chautauqua Institution. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, the owner is incredibly friendly, and the location can't be beat! You will not be disappointed.

Everything about this place is just right, including the tasty and healthy breakfast spread, the outstanding location, the friendly proprietor, and the comfortable accommodations. I have stayed there two times and like it better each time!!!

My grandparents used to vacation at one of the Victorian guest houses in CHQ and my parents would bring my brothers and me to visit/stay with them when we were growing up. I wanted to introduce my family to CHQ and give them a taste of my childhood. Staying in one of the guest houses was the only way to... More

We stayed at theEnglewood in June, it was sooo relaxing!! Olivia made us feel right at home, gave us tons of ideas for the weekend and made sure we had everything we needed; we truly wanted for nothing!! I found the Englewood to be lovely, comfy and spotless! We had 2 big porches and a sitting room to use as... More

We have stayed at the Englewood almost every year for fourteen years. We return because of the many positive attributes mentioned in other reviews. Olivia carries on the welcoming tradition of her mother, Joan. Breakfast on the porch is the envy of the grounds. The location is unbeatable - 1/4 block from the Amp, 1/4 block from Bestor Plaza.

Not once, but twice! You couldn't ask for a better environment in which to escape for a week. Unplug and tune into the conversations around you, and you'll meet individuals from around the world who are likely to become your lifelong friends. That's what makes the Englewood unique. Whether it's chatting over breakfast and coffee in the morning or sharing... More

The Englewood is perfect for people who love to share experiences, sit on the porch with the best organiz breakfast ever, huddle around the kitchen table with food from the Farmers Market chatting to other guests. First her Mom and now Olivia have a commitment to the civility and charm of Chautauqua and make every guest feel welcome and special.... More

The Englewood is absolutely full of charm. It's so perfectly Chautauqua. The other guests were very friendly and I looked forward to seeing them and catching up on events of the day. The owner, Olivia, is just as wonderful and charming as her inn. She was extremely helpful and sweet. I'm so glad I stayed here. It was truly a... More
