The rambling Brae Loch, where I've stayed on many occasions, continues to furnish homey warmth and personalized service in an age of chains and corporate uniformity. When I misplaced my credit card during a recent check-in, the staff stepped up to the plate to secure and return my card. Rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, reasonably priced, and the beds superb.... More

The inn is located in picturesque Cazenovia close to Syracuse, NY. Absolutely loved the fireplaces and quaint rooms with reasonably updated bathrooms. The service was excellent with a wonderful wait staff. We enjoyed the continental breakfast but were not as pleased with the food at the restaurant. There were very few menu options for dinner and the food was rather... More

My husband and I have come here 4 years in a row. We celebrate my birthday and anniversary, which are on the same day. Warm, friendly staff, good food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it.

We have stayed and eaten here many times and the staff is always warm & friendly. We are members of the HH Franklin car club attending a board meeting held on Saturday. Cazenovia College is the August site of the clubs annual meet. Franklins were air cooled cars built in Syracuse, NY from 1902-34,

Absolutely fell in love the minute we opened the door. Walking into the warmth of the foyer, aglow from welcoming flames burning in the brick fireplace, I felt as if I was coming home at long last. Beautiful melodies drifted up the old staircases from the pub/dining area & made me feel as if I had been magically transported to... More

The atmosphere was so relaxing you could have a drink walk around the hotel sit by a fireplace and relax. The restaurant was very pleasant and a warm cozy feeling. The food was very good I had salmon and my husband had steak. Everything was cooked perfect. The room was nice but because of the age we were awakened by... More

We had planned this time away months ago to be with our friends and neighbors to celebrate not only New Years 2015 but their wedding anniversary. We were warmly welcomed and felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The Christmas holiday decor was simply beautiful! We all had a great meal and wonderful evening together. Our waitress,... Magically Gorgeous in December! The decor around the holidays and the warm, cozy environment is truly special. There are so many positive things about this Scottish themed country Inn that outweigh any negatives. First of all, guests are allowed to use all the public spaces and all of those spaces are loaded with ambiance, especially around the December holidays. Multiple... More

My husband reserved The Royal Stewart Room at the Brae Loch Inn for my birthday on the 22nd. This cozy family Inn has been owned by the Barr family for many years. It's a lovely place, warm and comforting, gracious hosts, and waitstaff . We were welcomed at check in with a complimentary sherry or scotch which was delightful after... More

The Brae Loch is one of our absolute favorites. We go several times a year and are never disappointed. The rooms are perfect and well-appointed. The restaurant is well-rounded and service is excellent top to bottom. We go out of our way to hit this family favorite.
