Spacious rooms; very comfortable beds; great staff. Best of all: dog friendly. Traveling with dogs can be a challenge -- tough to find high quality accommodations. Brae Loch Inn meets that challenge. Having the restaurant on the ground floor where we could have our dogs with us in the outside seating area was an added bonus. Shops & restaurants within... More

We spent 2 nights at the Brae Loch Inn while perusing the Madison Antique Days. The Inn is gorgeous and is advertised as the most "Scottish Inn" west of Edinburgh. The decor is Scottish through and through and is owned by the Barr family, who are Scottish. The room we were in had a King sized canopy bed with a... More

Had a great time staying at the Brae Loch Inn. The room was clean, comfortable. The staff attentive to our needs. And the food was phenomenal! I have been sharing our experience with friends ever since our visit. We hope to go back someday.

Had the good luck of getting a room on short notice. Both the restaurant host and front desk person were very nice to deal with. Hotel has a definite Scottish flair from decor to room names to the wee dram offered after check in. All staff that we dealt with in the restaurant or otherwise were very friendly, efficient and... Booked two rooms by phone, and received a confirmation via email. Upon check-in however, we were given one different room than I had chosen. It wasn't a huge issue as the room we were given also had a king size bed. Our rooms were lovely, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only thing I thought could stand improvement was... More

Couldn't have been nicer staff and service. It is older and amazing charm. Great location in the center of everything! Across from the lake and right along the 4th of July parade path. Great bands on the lawn and great food.

The hotel was so very beautiful. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our overnight stay. We were at a wedding there and the reception was phenomenal. The food was delicious and the drinks were great as well. I wodon't recommend this hotel especially if you are looking to get away from the ordinary. A wonderful Inn.

I was in the area for only a night and treated myself to the wonderful atmosphere of Brae Loch Inn. I am of Scottish descent and enjoyed everything from the dining room to my lovely and charming room upstairs. The happy hour on the front lawn was so much fun and being by myself didn't matter because all were so... More

This is a tricky review to write, because we encountered both positive and negative elements during our two-night stay for graduation weekend. My spouse and I stayed in Room 15 ("Black Watch"). Overall, the room was comfortable, but significant water stains all over the ceiling cast an unfortunately shabby shadow over the atmosphere. Our daughter and son-in-law stayed in Room... More
