Yes, yes, a lot of what you will read is true, yet oddly, my husband and I had a great time yesterday and last night (10/25/08). I can’t explain it because I’m normally really picky about where I lay my head down. Oh the entire resort needs updating, including, of course, our room. The hotel really does have a feel... more

What a huge mistake in staying here - the room was dirty - the bathroom had moldy ceilings - the hotel hallways had moldy ceilings - it smelled badly - we could hear screaming from the hallways - we could hear the people walking around above us - we coulld hear the people in the next room talk and cough.... more

I can’t think of one positive comment to make about my stay here. The main lobby, which is very dark and dreary is an uphill hike from the parking lot. I had a room on the 4th floor of the main inn, with a balcony. The room was classified as non smoking, but the acrid smell of old smoke permeated... more

For my 75th birthday the family (children, grand children, my self, and husband) 16 total met at the friar tuck inn for the week of july 26, 2008. The staff was kind, friendly, and considerate. The food was first class, some things were in the process of being repaired. My family and I had a great time with all the... more

This place is a deteriorating mess. Several of the electrical sockets did not work or were simply missing with just a hole in the wall. The air-conditioning was virtually non-functional. There was inadequate lighting and some of the lamps were burned out. The TV reception was poor. Garbage was piled up in the hallway and not disposed of for days.... more

We went here for a small family reunion. The place is run down but the staff was kind, the food was delicious and everyone had a great time. We didn't get the greatest weather and wound up checking out a small game farm about five minutes away. The kids had a great time! more

I went to a convention at Friar Tuck Inn last weekend of October, 2006. I lost my car in a flood. Friar Tuck Inn parking lot became a lake of algae, sewage and rain water. Many people had cars totalled and personal belongings ruined in flooded hotel rooms. I filed a small claim against hotel and won. Then they appealed... more

We stayed here for one night (thank God) and had stayed there before about 5-6 years ago. When we got there we were TOTALLY let down by just about EVERYTHING we encountered. The positive is the girl at the front desk. She was very polite and accomodating to us. But, that was the ONLY positive thing here. The elevator door... more
