As a get-away for a winter weekend, my husband and I returned to the White Pillars (having been there several times while our son was a student at Clarkson University). What a wonderful experience it has been every time we have stayed at either of the Clark's houses. Rooms are tastefully decorated, bathrooms are extremely clean, and both houses portray... More

I stayed at the White Pillars lodge when returning my daughter to college at St Lawrence University. The service was excellent, and the inn keepers went out of their way to make me feel at home. I stayed in the Adirondack Room (they upgraded me due to a problem with the TV in my reserved room), and it was spacious,... More

This very well run bed and breakfast is a wonderful place to stay any time of year. The lodging in its picturesque setting, the warm people and the delicious home-made breakfasts prepared for you will make this one of your favorites! The newly renovated buildings are beautifully architected and aesthetically pleasing inside and out. In the summer at White Pillars,... More

This is the second time I have stayed with John and Donna at the White Pillars and it is an unparalleled experience, consistently outstanding service. They have multiple houses and I have stayed in both the main house and their Craftsman House. The decor is vintage and quaint, the service is attentive, and the breakfasts are unparalleled. They pay very... More

For our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast we were very pleasantly surprised. We didn't expect the service we got. Room was excellent, we were made feel very welcome and at home. Nice peaceful location located less then five to ten minutes away from SUNY Canton where we were attending the State Cross Country meet. The Breakfast's /... More

The Tree Top room was a perfect place to spend a week in the North Country. While I had time to visit with my daughter, sightsee and relax I also had to put in a few hours of work. The morning breakfast was delicious and started the day off right. I was close to the St. Lawrence campus for my... More

A return to the North Country was made that much more special with the warm hospitality and wonderful welcome by John and Donna. The Adirondack Suite was simply, perfect... everything in the room (and the overall main home) made you feel as if you might have been there before, in a dream of the perfect B&B, with beautiful surroundings and... From the soft and soothing Egyptian cotton linen to the multiple shower jets to the fabulous bedding, you won't find a more comfortable bed and breakfast to recharge and enjoy. The breakfast was so good my mouth is watering (for real) as I remember the custom omelette and thick, meaty bacon, expertly cooked to perfection in under a minute by... More

We stayed overnight at White Pillars and enjoyed an outstanding Mother's Day breakfast with Donna and John and other guests. Fresh squeezed OJ, custom made omelets, homemade granola, whole grain bread, cinnamon rolls and yogurt parfaits were all made in house by the owners. The breakfast conversations were stimulating and thoughtful. We had the most amazing room in the Craftsman... More

Coach John and Donna Clark are great innkeepers. Their lodgings are comfortable, stylish, and well appointed. It is not unusual for folks to sit in the study by the fire in their pajamas for coffee and conversation early in the morning. The staff keeps everything fresh and clean, and are great to speak with on a number of topics. My... More
