We live not far from Cape May, N.J. (some of the upstairs pictures on the wall of the Sutherland House are of Cape May) so we've seen some B&Bs in our time. My wife and I went to that area of New York for a special birthday party, and she wanted something that would be romantic, rather than the hotel... more

My husband and I enjoyed an anniversary getaway at the Sutherland House on August 3-5, 2007. Our room was Lillian's Lounge and it couldn't have been nicer! We stayed at the Sutherland House for a long weekend and can't wait to go back. The rooms are comfortable and even the smallest details are seen to. Breakfast was good and socializing with other guests gave us plenty of ideas for things to do. I'd recommend this place to anyone. more

My wife and I stayed in the Dutch Treat Suite for three nights in July. The innkeeper, Gary, is very warm and gracious and does a nice job to make you feel welcome. Gary is very helpful with directions, help with restaurant reservations and such. The inn is very clean, and serves a seated full breakfast each morning at 9am... more

The Sutherland House was an exceptional B&B on a beautiful farm setting. Rooms were well appointed and quiet. A great value for the region. The breakfast was exceptional. Gary, the host, was most hospitable and directed you to anything you needed. Great get away! more

When we stayed at this inn, we stayed in the lillian's lodge room. This room was very romantic, large in size, and very relaxing. The only thing we did not like was sitting with other people for breakfast. But overall this bed @ breakfast comes highly recommended. more
