We were wrapping up a long bike trip along the Erie Canal, and the Pineapple House was the perfect place to start to wind down. Bill and Janine made us feel right at home — a garage to lock up our bikes, a bowl of cherries set out, and a bottle of wine set the tone — and helped us... More

We stumbled upon this beautiful B&B and were welcomed the minute we arrived. The home is beautiful clean, and so much character. Bill and Janine made us feel like family. We truly entered as strangers and left as friends. Would highly recommend anyone to visit the quaint B&B. Breakfast was amazing from homemade muffins to the main course. Cannot wait... More

We arrived after a 25 mile bike ride on the Erie Canal. We were welcomed with a beer and a cold drink - very welcome after cycling in 80 degree heat. The bikes were securely stored in a locked garage overnight. The house is located about 250 yards from the trail and is in a quiet street. The room was... More

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to this adorable B&B. Bill and Janine were so warm and welcoming, and amazing cooks! The location was very easy to get to off of the thruway, the rooms were so charming and comfortable and I personally loved the decor of the bathroom. Bill and Janine made you feel right at home. We... More

We recently stayed at The Pineapple House while on a cycling tour along the Erie Canal. It had rained half the day and we showed up half soaked. Bill and Janine could not have been more welcoming or madeus feel more comfortable. They quickly got towels to help us dry off and really welcomed us into their home. Staying there... More

I just got to stay at the Pineapple House; We discussed weddings and science and catching a mouse! Janine and Bill are the dearest of the dear; They really love their grandkids and even give them (root) beer. Bill’s donuts are delightful; he makes Feta cheese sing; Turns out Janine can be Yoda, a scary witch and The King! Serendipity... More

I stayed here with a cycling buddy in 2013 and resolved to take my wife here to meet Bill and Janine. We basically planned our week in upstate New York around a visit to Pineapple House since I thought so highly of it. Bill and Janine are so friendly I feel like family. Bill's breakfast's are the best I have... More

Last night of my west to east bicycle tour of upstate New York was spent at the Pineapple House in Canajoharie New York. It is a wonderful place to stay. Very accommodating, and pleasant hosts Janine & Bill. Room was immaculate , tastefully appointed, and with a great selection of reading material. Breakfast was started with a beautiful colorful fruit... More

What a find!! We got stuck on our bicycling tour and were not able to find a place to stay and were given The Pineapple House as a referral. We rode all day in the rain, arrived looking like drowned rats and were greeted warmly by Bill at the back door and welcomed in. The Nelsons are just the perfect... More

Just ten minutes after we arrived, I had to remind myself that I was in someone else's house and at least ought to ask before helping myself to a glass of water. Janine and Bill were so welcoming, I immediately felt as comfortable in their kitchen as in a dear friend's. The house was both beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was... More
