Bill and Janine were great hosts. The room was really nice and they were terrific hosts with much practical advice on local restaurants and attractions. We were completing the Erie Canal "end to end" trip portion from Rome to Albany and the Pineapple House was smack dab in the middle of our route. We highly recommend!!! Btw.... Great chocolate chip... More

The Pineapple House was one of our favorite spots on our trip along the Erie Canal. Our room was nicely appointed; the bed comfortable, the breakfast was very good ... we had an omelet, fruit, toast and coffee ... just right for us. Bill and Janine were very helpful, and we enjoyed the conversation.

Clean and cozy B-and-B with wonderful hosts. Bill and Jeanine are like my new best friends--they are warm and friendly and are well-informed about the surrounding area. Jeanine knows everyone and everything and Bill cooks a great breakfast! It was a pleasure to meet them and to stay at their lovely home.

Janine and Bill Nelson, owners of the B&B, are like long lost friends. They are incredibly welcoming with a beautiful, clean home. You will wake up to the wonderful smells of a home cooked breakfast after a comfortable nights sleep in one of two rooms. We always enjoy catching up with Janine and Bill on our stays at the Pineapple... More

We were wrapping up a long bike trip along the Erie Canal, and the Pineapple House was the perfect place to start to wind down. Bill and Janine made us feel right at home — a garage to lock up our bikes, a bowl of cherries set out, and a bottle of wine set the tone — and helped us... More

We stumbled upon this beautiful B&B and were welcomed the minute we arrived. The home is beautiful clean, and so much character. Bill and Janine made us feel like family. We truly entered as strangers and left as friends. Would highly recommend anyone to visit the quaint B&B. Breakfast was amazing from homemade muffins to the main course. Cannot wait... More

We arrived after a 25 mile bike ride on the Erie Canal. We were welcomed with a beer and a cold drink - very welcome after cycling in 80 degree heat. The bikes were securely stored in a locked garage overnight. The house is located about 250 yards from the trail and is in a quiet street. The room was... More

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to this adorable B&B. Bill and Janine were so warm and welcoming, and amazing cooks! The location was very easy to get to off of the thruway, the rooms were so charming and comfortable and I personally loved the decor of the bathroom. Bill and Janine made you feel right at home. We recently stayed at The Pineapple House while on a cycling tour along the Erie Canal. It had rained half the day and we showed up half soaked. Bill and Janine could not have been more welcoming or madeus feel more comfortable. They quickly got towels to help us dry off and really welcomed us into their home. Staying there... More

I just got to stay at the Pineapple House; We discussed weddings and science and catching a mouse! Janine and Bill are the dearest of the dear; They really love their grandkids and even give them (root) beer. Bill’s donuts are delightful; he makes Feta cheese sing; Turns out Janine can be Yoda, a scary witch and The King! Serendipity... More
