A Lovely Surprise!

My husband surprised me with a two-night weekend retreat at the Inn at Silver Maple Farm. It is about 30 minutes from Albany and 20 minutes from Tanglewood. The owners, Ross and Nancy, were very welcoming and made sure that our entire visit was comfortable. We needed a handicapped-accessible room (I have trouble with stairs) and our room met our needs very well. Breakfast was scrumptious, including custom-blended coffee chosen by Ross, a self-described coffee fanatic. Nancy's apple puff pancakes and lemon-ricotta pancakes were delightful! Great bed and comforters, very quiet (we did not hear any sound from other guests) and located near many good restaurants, we would recommend this inn highly and we plan to visit again soon!

The Inn at Silver Maple Farm is very charming. The room we stayed in (Upper Lodge) was great, the full breakfast was completely satisfying, and the host was very nice. We wished we could have stayed there longer, and it only could have been better if there was a hot tub on-site.

If you are not a fan of victorian-style B&B's, this is the perfect place for you. The entire Inn is built around a renovated barn, and the room we stayed in was actually once the hay loft of the barn. The main room of the Inn is full of blond post and beam elements original to the old barn. We loved the barn!
