It is like going to the grandmother's place I always wanted to have and staying with family, snoring in the next room included. If you don't mind close contact with strangers like sharing a bathroom it is fine. I did enjoy the experience and the history but would probably opt for a standard hotel the next time for personal reasons.... More

We ended up here when a nearby place couldn't accomodate us. The host, Jean, is great. The breakfasts were wonderful. We came late at night and left early in the mornings to attend the Folk festival, but it looks like a nice place to spend some time. We will definitely return! I have already been telling my friends to check... More

We have vacationed here numerous times and have always enjoyed our stay. Jean, the owner, is a great host and excellent cook. Breakfasts are always delicious and varied with a good selection of food options. The rooms are spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable and have a kitchionette for those times when you want to do something with the wonderful selection... More

This was our forth visit to Shaker Meadows. We had not been there for 2 years because we need Wi-Fi and Shaker Meadows did not have it in our favorite suite Now they do and we will not miss another year. There are several suites that have full kitchens, dining area and living room -- the bedroom in our suite... More

Shaker Meadows is enchanting. You can stay at the farmhouse or the loft apartments. Both are comfortable and cozy, but the loft apartments are modern and have all the amenities. The price is also right. Jean, the innkeeper is hospitality plus and her breakfasts are to die for. The setting is on beautiful grounds with mountain and farmland views. It is also... More

Perfect in every imaginable way! It would not be possible for hosts Jean and Sean to be more hospitable. This was my first time back since the inn opened about 13 (?) years ago. I stayed in the main building in one of two suites for two nights. A loft bedroom allowed me to gaze at a full moon through... More

This was our second wonderful visit here, thanks to Jean Cowhig's warmth, helpfulness, and outstanding breakfast-cooking skills! Bedrooms and common spaces are country comfortable, cheerful, and attractive. I'm already looking forward to next time!

My family just stayed for a second summer at this B&B, and we highly recommend it. Last year they stayed in the farmhouse, which has common areas with various private bedrooms; this year, they stayed in one of the separate apartments that slept four (2 beds) in a chalet-style design. This room was definitely preferable, since it was entirely private... More

My husband and my second stay at this lovely bed and breakfast. Jean Cowhig, proprietor, was sweet as pie -- warm and welcoming. We stayed in the front house which we had all to ourselves. Our room ed was clean and comfy, cozy and nicely decorated. Beautiful downstairs sitting room and dining room for guests. This would be a great... More

Relaxing area. Nice food. Setting is too small for more than 8 quilters. The ironing boards were set up right behing quilter's chairs. It would be expected that the staff would checked the bathrooms daily for supplies, replacement towels,...
