Although this is our first time at The Sagamore, we can tell it is a place of family memories and countless stories. It is a fantastic getaway! Wonderful staff! The hotel is a nostalgic place reminiscent of old money and class. Lake George and the surrounding area reminded my wife and I of Stressa, Italy. The staff were always anxious... More

My wife had a conference at the Sagamore and we decided to bring the family. I was initially somewhat nervous about bringing my kids because the website portrays the resort as being extremely stuffy. I feared the resort was just going to be filled with guys named Tyler wearing boat shoes, sending their steaks back to the kitchen, and old... More

The Sagamore is a gem of a resort. While we were here as a couple, there were an incredible number of families. Yet, somehow, we both peacefully co-exist! Why? Because this place is huge. The room we had was large, facing the pool. It was absolutely silent. The bathroom was small, but perfect. Turndown service, of course. Exceptionally comfortable. Hard... More

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Views up and down the lake are excellent.Very helpful staff and restaurants were good but the whole place was a bit frantic. Very busy around the pool and lakeside and also a wedding happening meant that it was noisy and not so relaxing. Our room in the lower floor of one of the terrace... More

Love the sagamore. A typical day would start with an amazing breakfast, then a trip to the pool or lake for relaxing and watching kids have a ball. At some point a banana boat or parasailing would be in order. Renting a boat is also an option. For lunch you can stay poolside and order your lobster roll, or go... More

I can't say enough about how nice lake George is and the sagamore resort. The grounds are wonderful as you can sit on the lake or by the pool. You can eat on the water or at the hotel looking at the lake. You can rent a boat right at the resort let the kids fish and yes they have... More

Dear explore 1537, Thank you for the favorable review and for recognizing Lake George along with us. This area is amazing and there is so much to do and see. Along with your entire review, I was happy to see that fishing was one of the highlights. Although it is not a guarantee, more often than not the young anglers... More

Gorgeous property! Pricey, but well worth it. Wonderful restaurants in an amazing setting. Service is always warm and friendly. This is our second visit in 3 years and would not hesitate to return. Great place for family reunions.

Deart Annette L, Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I'm not sure we can improve upon "Heaven" but we will certainly accept the challenge! Thank you for being a repeat guest and for recognizing the staff along with the room tip. All the best, Tom Guay More

I grew up in this area and returned this week after 24 years. So much is the same and reminds me of my childhood; which I now pass to my son. The resort is fabulous. So much to do and it is included in the resort fee. No nickel and diming here. The rec center is so much fun, s'mores... More

Dear SpadirectorFL, 24 years is a long time to be gone, and we were thrilled that your return to the area included The Sagamore! With any stay there may be areas that need attention but I was happy to read that overall you enjoyed your time with us! I was happy to read that the staff was warm and friendly... More

We have stayed here a number of times in the last 5 years, including most recently in June 2014. Since changing owners and renovations a few years ago, the property has gotten quite expensive, especially if you want to stay in the main lodge. So I would recommend this resort for a "special" couples w/end or mid-week stay (off season... More

Dear BrianJH14, Thank you for your continued patronage and also for the positive review. It has been 6 years since the resort has changed owners and I am happy to report that in that time we have tried very hard to improve year over year. From the extensive work that we have done on the grounds and property to the... More

What a classic Americana Historic Family Resort. We brought our entire family to what we believe now will become a Family Tradition. The moment you pull into the circular driveway you know this rare gem of a resort is filled with Authentic American history. In order to accommodate our entire family we decided to stay in the hotel's condo. What... More
