We had our wedding here and we after all was said and done, we would not have changed a single thing about the day. Most of that goes to Bob and Jeremy and the staff at Onteora. They make weddings and hospitality look easy! They really take the time to get to know their guests, and it shows in how... More

I have now been to my second wedding at Onteora-it has been seriously upgraded since 2002 to include glass-enclosed indoor banquet rooms that blend in with the pine trees and unbelievable mountain vistas. The food was good but the main course portions were Euro-sized at best. The apps were excellent as were the wines. You cannot find many better outdoor... More

I just attended a wedding and stayed at the Mountain House. The views were beautiful, grounds were nice, food and staff was excellent. I will agree with the other review where the owner wasn't the friendliest but the staff made up for him. The Overlook room was nice and big. The jacuzzi tub was nice. Carrying your luggage up there... More

Very unobtrusive B&B in a beautiful setting. We were lucky and booked a rare weekend when there was not a wedding party staying. We stayed during summer and enjoyed our own snacks and beer on the deck overlooking the beautiful valley in the evening. We had Montbaccus and North Dome rooms. Montbaccus was the newer and definitely highly recommended. The... More

I found the Onteora Mountain House from a pet friendly travel website, and I'm so glad I did! My mum and I went for just a night, taking our well behaved dog with us, with prior consent from the Mt House owners, and we all had a wonderful stay! It was a very relaxed atmosphere, and beautifully so. On arrival... More

Only a short drive from all of the major Catskills locals, the Onteora Mnt. House is perfectly situated. And not just geographically. Situated on the side of a beautiful mountain there are stunning views to take in from their many decks, or even from your own private solarium. The owners cooked up a delicious breakfast of crepes, and made us... More

I decided to take my husband away to Onteora House to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. What a disappointment at $285 per night. When we arrived, we were greeted by a cold, stodgy innkeeper, who was not inviting at all, to say the least. He gave us a quick, disinterested tour of the main house, then pointed us in the... More

I was looking for a quality Bed&Breakfast weekend retreat not too far away from NYC and got much more than that: beautiful country house with a perfect location (overseeing the mountains), top notch breakfast cooking and extremely helpful owner. Pricey but totally worth every dollar. The area is also beautiful, lots to see, good dining scene... Perfect. Probably wise to... More

Onteora Mountain House is the kind of place we'd want to keep a secret to keep it all to ourselves! We're from Denmark, Europe, and stayed at the Onteora Mountain House for one night in August 2011. We had found the place on the web and completely fell in love with the place on the basis of the photos. As... More
