I recently stayed at this lovely inn. It was spotless , had such elegant museum quality antiques, but the mattresses were new and comfy! The breakfast was cooked to order, the coffee was excellent, and the hosts seemed to really want to please.

I stayed at the Sedgwick Inn during my trip to Berlin from California in June 2014 to visit my mother's new monument placed in her family plot in the nearby Berlin cemetary. I had lived in Berlin in 1948 as an infant and on this trip visted our old family farm and the site of our family's 1800's cork factory... More

3.5 stars. Three of us stayed in the motel section of the Sedgwick for two nights. The room and bathroom, though small, were clean and well maintained. Plenty of soap, shampoo, conditioner and towels were provided. All of the electrical outlets had multi-plug adapters; this thoughtful touch -- lacking in most of the places we have stayed -- enabled all... More

Great motel and unique experience. It was my favorite place between Buffalo and Boston. Gorgeous setting and friendly innkeepers. Next time I will stay in the Inn (main house).

Run-down property, multiple dead tress more than 40 feet tall, deserted-looking property overall, overgrown with weeds and vines, unkempt, peeling paint...FAKE WEBSITE PHOTO, CLEARLY!!!! Felt completely cheated upon arrival given the cost of the room and what was actually presented. Charged extra fees upon arrival. Late at night, raining, no other hotel within 10-15 miles. Owners rude, unpolished and unwelcoming.... More

I also booked through Hotels.com and the owner also tried to add charges to my prepaid room. We were three women travelling together and booked a room for three (which they said they could easily accommodate). We got there and there was a cot sitting outside (and clearly had been there for a while) which could not possibly fit in... More

The Inn is not represented as shown on their website: http://www2.hotels.com/ho249392/the-sedgwick-inn-berlin-united-states/The lawn is overgrown and the housepaint was peeling in all locations as well with other buildings on the property. The Inn shows two wings where I thought we were booked as "6A". There were no guests in the restaurant (we arrived about 6:30 pm) and no "piano" music as... More

My boyfriend and I ventured out to the Berkshires for yet another opening night at Tanglewood. We decided to try (based on a friend's recommendation) to stay at the Sedgwick Inn (about 20 minutes to Tanglewood) and make a weekend out of it. Despite the gloomy weather on opening night, we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations at the Sedgwick.... More

This property can't be doing much business. It is very dirty and smelly. The web photos must be so old as the place no longer looks anything like represented. Our room door would not lock and couldn't be even closed due to misalignemnt of door frame. We found airconditioners lying in the rooms we reserved just two days before so... More
