Returned for our annual business trip to the area, and spend a couple hours sitting at the beautiful Hotel Lenhart, overlooking Lake Chautauqua, sipping real, authentic Dark 'n Stormies. If you know what they are, this is the only place in the area to get them, and they are made perfectly. Skip the house drink the Porch Rocker, and go... More

We have been going to the Lenhart for over 20 years now. As soon as you walk into the spacious lobby, you feel like you have went 100 years back into time! No elevators, No Phones, No air, NO TV. Just sit on the large front porch and watch the Amazing sunset on the Lake. The rooms are all different... More

We stayed in a remodeled room with full bath that kept that feeling of walking back into another era. I noticed that other guests were using the bathrooms at the end of the hallway. A very good breakfast was included. But the Hotel Lenhart is all about sitting on the front porch rocking, people watching, and sipping on a cold... More

I'm okay with quaint hotels but I am not okay with grown people having a frat party at midnight. Place smells old and decaying. Only accepts cash and checks - no cards - this way you have no paper trail for the government. Minimal at best. Bar is like your 99 year old grandma's basement. Once is enough.

You have to experience this at least once! we were able stay one night, and at the end of the summer season on the Lake. When I walked into the hotel, I could imagine that I was on the Titanic to sail, definitely a step back in time. IT was cool weather when we were there, so we did not... More

This hotel has to be one of the best-kept secrets in Western New York! Be aware that if you are a fast pace person who does not like to wait, don't check in. This is a summer hotel, the last original on the lake owned by the same family since the 1800s. There are no phones, no televisions, no heat,... More

We stayed on the 3rd floor, double bed with private bath and lake view. It was a clean well maintained room. Our breakfast was delicious both mornings we were there and service was excellent. Our check-in was professional and efficient. Remember: It's a family owned hotel built in the 1800's with plumbing so do not go there expecting a corporate... More

Breakfast and dinner with reservation! Food is very good. Clean rooms and quaint atmosphere. Unfortunately we had our yearly issues with "spiders" in the bathroom and occasionally in the rooms itself. They can't seem to get a handle on this! Other wise always a great weekend!

My friend and I liked the location, and loved the charming porch full of bright painted rockers. We had booked a room that claimed to include a large breakfast for which outside vistors are charged $13 each. When we got there, we were told there was not a breakfast included or even available till, "The Season." They said we were a... More
