Not much add to the other reviews, except that over the past few years, we've built up a checklist of items to bring with us when we stay at the Lenhart: - Bathrobe (for shared bathroom) - 3-2 plug (many electrical outlets only have accept 2 plugs) - Shampoo - Hair dryer - Towels (for swimming) - Extension cord (there... This is right on the lake (Chautauqua) and there is a huge front porch with big, brightly colored rocking chairs. It seemed that the thing to do was drink beers from the Lamplighter Lounge (inside the hotel, full service bar). The breakfast is great. It's included, but it's sit-down service. I had seconds on the sectioned grapefruit. There is no... More

I've been going to this hotel my whole life, and I love it. The service is great. Food is simply divine. People are nice. Some people say the place is outdated but I love looking at the old photos and Unique anttics. You get to sit back, relax and injoy the lake view however if your more of a stay... More

Every year we plan to spend our Summer vacation at the Hotel Lenhart on Lake Chautauqua. As a 4th generation Chautauquan, I reminisce on years past with loving, fond memories. The rooms are period and the breakfast is outstanding. There are very few of these icons of American heritage left. I savor every moment and look forward to our return,... More

Every year I have to take a business trip to Chautauqua lake and I never miss a chance to spend a cpuple hours sitting at the bar at the Lenhart drinking Dark 'n Stormies. The inside of the bar is small but always quaint. Most people sit out on the porch drinking the house drink which I can't recall the... More

We were in the area for a reunion and several of our friends mentioned the Lenhart's breakfasts. We made a reservation and had a lovely time. The food was very good, Eggs Benedict, slow cooked oatmeal and a variety of choices. The service by young adults was professional and the atmosphere simply lovely. It is a throw-back to slower, more... More

We received a night at the Hotel Lenhart as a gift. I loved it. The hotel is a 134 years old Victorian. The room we had was clean and very basic. There is no tv, phone or ac in the rooms which was fine by me. There are no elevators either. We worried about the no ac but it was... More

Went there for breakfast and I cannot stress enough how unbelievably disappointed I was by this place. First off, the food was decent and the price was right. 13.50 for breakfast with a selection from different courses. You will not be hungry. I didn't like that the orange juice was only about 4 ounces but I was willing to look... More

The hotel itself if beautifully decorated in its 19th century time period. The staff was friendly and for the most part helpful. I liked learning about the family history of this grand hotel. Bemus Point is fun and busy and loud with happy-vacationers-noise, which is great. Bemus Point boats some great restaurants and fun shops and the beautiful lake, that... More

As a hotel only you would rate this a one star. But as an overall experience it is a four or five star. This hotel has no elevators, no bell hops, no air conditioning and I am not sure they have heat. Some of the room have private bathrooms but many share a communal bathroom on the floor. Expect a...
